This feedback is for Najla for a haircut. I was a little anxious about getting my haircut by a new stylist, but Najla immediately put me at ease. She patiently listened to what I wanted and gave me a great haircut! She was so gentle while washing my hair and was such a kind and pleasant person. I’m really happy with my experience and will definitely be going back to Najla. Highly recommend her!

Absolute rave to Miriam in Luxury makeup! She helped me find the right products as someone who doesn’t wear makeup but wants to start wearing it more often. From primer, skin tint, blush and bronzer she picked and used the products that worked with my skin type and budget. She even used the testers on me to give me a fuller picture of how to apply and where to apply for my face shape. I left feeling confident in appearance and ability to duplicate how she did my makeup too!

I’m pretty disappointed with my experience at Ulta hair salon . I originally asked for my hair to be straight with small curls at the ends, but the stylist immediately kept saying loudly that it would “look weird.” She asked for an inspo picture, and when I showed her one, she said it was more of a blowout style. I was already skeptical because I know blowouts can make my hair look thicker and frizzier after washing, but I still trusted her professional opinion and went along with it. Later, she said the curls “weren’t sticking” with the blowout, so she wanted to try a “new idea.” She started using a curling iron, and I noticed she was making huge spiral curls. I asked if those curls were only going to be at the ends of my hair, and she told me not to worry because brushing them out would fix it. Unfortunately, after brushing them out, my hair looked huge and nothing like what I asked for. She seemed finished at that point, but I had to ask her to at least straighten the first half of my hair because it still looked bad. Even after that, I ended up asking her to completely flat iron it instead. Because of the unnecessary blowout, my hair still didn’t end up looking as sleek and straight as it should have. What makes this more disappointing is that a couple weeks ago I got my hair straightened at the same location by a different stylist, and she did an amazing job. This time I was charged extra for a blowout I didn’t even want, and I left really unhappy with the results.

Phew where do I begin! I was out shopping with my two girls, and I saw the manager treat some other customers pretty poorly. We were waiting in line, being helped by one associate, when the customers ahead of us seemed to have a miscommunication with what is supposedly the general manager of the store. The associate that was helping us was stalling, due to looking at this miscommunication as were we since the general manager started talking to the customers in a tone that was unprofessional. She even told the customers that said they had their items ready and wanted to purchase to leave the store entirely and purchase it elsewhere! This was kind of crazy to see, for a beauty store that whole interaction was ugly! Managers are supposed to de-escalate situations, and to me seemed like she did the opposite. While still talking to the customers, she switched with the associate helping us at first to ring us up and still talking to the other customers over the counter over us! As I was looking around, there were also other people looking and I just felt bad for those girls that were clearly embarrassed since the manager made a scene, even suggesting getting someone fired (??) and it did seem like she misunderstood what they were saying. It’s so sad to see because this could’ve been me. Hope management can see this and learn to do better.

Ulta Beauty – Dublin Location I am writing to formally complain about the manager Geneva at the Ulta location in Dublin. She has black hair, tattoos, and glasses and was working at the checkout. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for someone in a management position. During checkout, Geneva publicly accused me in front of employees and customers based on an assumption she made about my purchase. I attempted to use a discount and was told it could only be used by the account holder, which I accepted. Instead of ending the interaction, she escalated the situation by raising her voice and telling me and the person I was with to shop elsewhere. She then made a threatening and unnecessary remark, stating, “Oh, you want your friend to get fired? I’m going to talk to her manager,” all while continuing the confrontation at the register in front of the entire store. This behavior was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. No manager should treat customers this way. Ulta Dublin needs to address these ongoing management issues and ensure customers are treated with professionalism and respect!
