This 5-star review is mainly for the Walgreens pharmacy staff. Angie and her team at this location deliver an impeccable quality of service that can't be found at any other pharmacy in the area. My family and I have been going here for close to 15 years now and I can't imagine our loyalty going anywhere else. Angie and her team make sure medications are dispensed on time, with ease, and if there's ever any insurance issues, they'll handle it themselves directly without us ever needing to wait on hold with anyone. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're an El Monte resident looking for a quality pharmacy.

Every single time I’ve visited this location I have received horrible customer service. One employee specifically, by the name of Jonathan is extremely rude, hostile and lazy. Not only does he not make you feel like a valued customer, he acts as if customers are disrupting and bothering him even though all I’ve seen his lazy self do is walk around like a zombie. He is both mean and grumpy as if asking for his help is unheard of and not his literal job. There is nothing worse than being vulnerable & asking for help just to be met with nasty looks and a condescending attitude that makes you feel even more uncomfortable than you already did in the first place. Melanie and Angie are absolute heroes. My two-year-old had just come home from the emergency department with pneumonia, and we were having a hard time finding a pharmacy that carried the antibiotics she needed. It was right around closing time when I called, but without hesitation, they stepped in to help. They ensured we got the medication that same night so we could start treatment immediately—even staying after closing to make it happen. Their kindness, urgency, and dedication to patient care meant everything to our family during a stressful time. Thank you both for going above and beyond. You are truly appreciated. If more people had Melanie’s and Angie’s compassion, the world would be a better place to be.
