We absolutely loved our stay at the Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island! The location was perfect for exploring the island and was within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a fun island atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the entire experience was relaxing from the moment we arrived. The rooftop lounge had spectacular views to watch the sunset. We would definitely stay here again!

From the moment I arrived, my experience at the Hotel was outstanding. The staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive—10/10 across the board. * Staff & Service: 10/10 * Check-In Experience: 10/10 * Cleanliness: 10/10 * A special thank you to the young lady who graciously accommodated my late checkout—your kindness made my stay even more enjoyable. I also truly appreciated the thoughtful Anniversary gift. It was such a nice touch and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Thank you to the entire team for an exceptional stay. I’ll definitely be back! 🙏🏽

Our stay at The Avalon Hotel in Catalina was amazing! The room was wonderful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. As great as the room was, the service was even better. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location was also extremely convenient, making it easy to walk around and enjoy everything Catalina has to offer. We had such a great experience and will definitely be staying here many more times whenever we come back to Catalina. The only thing that could make it even better would be a full-course breakfast. If they offered that, this would easily be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are so lucky to have gotten the last available room this past Sunday. We originally were booked at the Catalina Island Inn and had to leave after seeing how dirty the room was. (If you're curious how bad it was, check out my review of their hotel). Not only were we lucky because we needed a last minute room, but we were also treated with the friendly customer service one comes to expect when paying $500+/night. The moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and positive energy. The lobby was decorated beautifully and most importantly clean. Our room was spacious, and we were treated to complimentary champagne, candies, and bottled water. It's the little touches that made us appreciate this hotel even more. The bed linens were clean, spotless and smelled nice. The drapes were free of dirt, stains and bugs. The bathroom was also very clean, with complimentary soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We had a huge balcony with an ocean view with well maintained patio furniture, not a bird dropping in site. The next morning we were treated to a continental breakfast on their beautifully landscaped courtyard. Whatever we asked of the staff they did their best to accommodate us. They even let our two friends that were staying at another hotel join us for coffee. If you are comparing the 3 star hotels on the island, I would say Avalon Hotel is at the top of the list and Catalina Island Inn should be avoided at all cost.
