The Pavilion Hotel has an open-air garden structure and is a luxury resort hotel on Catalina Island. In addition to its magnificent oceanfront location, the hotel features a charming design that invites guests to truly relax and unwind. We had three rooms and stayed at this hotel for three nights. The complimentary breakfast and wine reception were excellent. We enjoyed both of them a lot. Particularly, the wine selection with the hors d’oeuvres was our favorite. Overall, the price is what you pay and the value is what you get. It was expensive for three nights but we really got our money's worth. The service was phenomenal and the experience was unforgettable. I want to give a special thanks to the staff who worked at the front desk on August 19th. You helped and assisted us with your understanding to offer more muffins right before breakfast was over. You made our stay experience truly exceptional. You are amazing and a valuable asset to the team and to the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Pavilion Hotel and would happily return. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and located on the ground floor with direct access to the hotel’s beautiful garden. Right outside our room were comfortable lounge chairs, and the garden itself was filled with cozy daybeds, sofas, and seating areas that created a truly relaxing and charming atmosphere. The entire property has a unique character and a peaceful island vibe that perfectly matches Catalina Island. One of our favorite touches was the complimentary Happy Hour around 5 p.m., where guests could enjoy a glass of wine while relaxing in the garden. It was a lovely way to end the day. The only downside for us was the continental breakfast. The selection was quite limited and focused mostly on sweet items such as croissants and fruit. We missed savory options like cheese and cold cuts, so we felt the breakfast could be more varied. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. The beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, relaxing outdoor spaces, and warm atmosphere made it a place we would definitely recommend.

My biggest issue with this hotel was the paper thin walls. If your a light sleeper and your on the bottom level, it’s going to be hard to sleep. Also they put us in the worst possible room next to an electrical panel/storage room and then under a suite. So we kept hearing workers going in and out of storage room and the people above us had no plans of sleeping that night. It was so noisy I asked to switch rooms which they were able to do so even though it was still a ground level room. The hotel itself was great. Clean rooms, the social hour you get free wine and food and the free breakfast was nice as well. The staff was friendly for the most part but had one worker who was kind of rude so I took 1 star away from them. Also, even though the staff was mostly friendly, they did not let us know about anything about the hotel. They didn’t say anything about the social hour. We found out by walking past it one night and had to ask what was going on. I had to ask about breakfast and where it was.The absolute best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s dead center of everything and a five minute walk from the Catalina express dock. I’d come back but only if I have a top level room.

We recently visited Catalina Island and spent two nights at the Pavilion Hotel in Avalon. It was a fantastic experience! The hotel is about a 2-3 minute, easy walk from the Avalon Harbor and is right on the beach. It has a very welcoming courtyard with a view of the ocean. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the room was very nicely appointed. It's within easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, tours, etc. We will certainly stay here again.

We just came back from Catalina. It was amazing!. Long time ago I told my daughter we will stay there. Back then the hotel was not like this. But its nice to be in front of the beach. Finally we stayed in that nice boutique hotel. My daughter was very much enjoyed everything, she told me she like to be in that kind of hotel. We went to high end so many times but the coziness sometimes not really there only the luxurious. This hotel bring the coziness and modern design. The only this the carpet on the lobby area and the outdoor second floor that need to be treated also the table chairs need to be cleaned and I also enjoy the happy hour from 4.30pm to 5.30pm😁. Overall this hotel was great!
