I’ve been a member at Crunch Fitness for years, but I’m very disappointed. The ongoing issue with the 7.5 lb weights in classes has never been fixed — there aren’t enough, and some are even broken. I’ve contacted staff multiple times (front desk, emails, and even reviews) and have been completely ignored. It’s not just me; many members are frustrated. Classes have become stressful — rushing to find weights, people pushing to grab the few available ones. After all the money I’ve spent here, the poor staff response and lack of action are unacceptable.

YOU CAN SEE PEOPLE NUDE IN THE SHOWER THROUGH THE DOORS!! That means people can see me too. I signed up a week ago just because I liked how the showers had doors. I work 3 jobs and need to shower at the gym to save time. Walking by the stall shower u can Litterally see inside, but I thought you couldn’t because u can’t see out. This is horrible and I’m sure the company is not going to change the doors after seeing this review. If I take a picture for the purpose of this review I will definitely get kicked out and possibly arrested. Also there are naked people walking around and in the sauna. This is disgusting. I will be contacting corporate or just leaving the gym if no one takes action and changes the doors immediately to non see through. Thank you

I want to start by saying the staff at Church Fitness in Daly City have always been friendly and helpful whenever I’ve interacted with them. My concerns are less about the employees and more about the overall management and standards in the gym. Recently I noticed some hygiene issues around the free weights area, including nail clippings on the floor, which was pretty unpleasant to see in a shared space. Cleanliness should be a priority in a gym as people are constantly handling equipment and working up a sweat. The Locker room is also gross. I also think the gym could do a better job enforcing basic gym etiquette, things like wiping down equipment, re-racking weights, and maintaining a respectful environment in shared workout areas. When those standards aren’t consistently reinforced, it affects the overall experience for everyone. The gym has good potential and the staff seem to care, but stronger management oversight around cleanliness and gym etiquette would make a big difference.

Home gym is the place to be! No matter where I go. Im always back here. I feel spoiled because the vibes, people, and staff. I've made friends here! Especially with my personal trainer AJ. He has been in my life since my injury. Without him I wouldn't be here. ❤️ He is the BESTEST!!! Especially when its comes to recovery, after my injury and surgery, he is there to help me be back to my normal life. ❤️

Tried Crunch Fitness on a free 3 day pass and, unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming from the moment I walked in. The front desk interaction set the tone immediately. There were two people at the front desk, the guy who checked me in seemed completely disengaged — no eye contact, no warmth, no effort and the girl just brushed me off. I wasn’t offered a tour, no one asked about my fitness goals or why I was even there. There was ZERO attempt from the front desk or sales staff to explain the space or welcome a first-time guest. Thankfully, I knew someone who already goes there and they were kind enough to show me around — which says a lot, because that should’ve been the staff’s job. Later, I asked the front desk if they had a foam pad I could borrow for an exercise I was doing. The staff member appeared more focused on his phone than helping me. Overall, the vibe was off. The staff came across as indifferent, dismissive, and oddly full of themselves — which is wild considering this is a customer-facing service business. Pro tip: Gyms thrive on energy, encouragement, and approachability. None of that was present here. Who the heck is running this gym? I wanted to purchase a shake on my way out but guess what?!? NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT DESK. Way to go Crunch!! I decided to go to Sidewalk Juice in the mall where I always get amazing service AND a smile! They have decent equipment, although when I came here there were a few machines that were not in service so I had to figure out another way to do the exercise or basically wait for a machine, but overall the experience is lacking. A little professionalism, basic hospitality, and self-awareness would go a long way.
