Had a fantastic experience with my sisters at the Ocean Pearl Spa! After reading some of the reviews from the last year I was very nervous about coming in. But we made reservations for 4 people, for a total of 3 massages and 2 facials. From check in to check out, we had a flawless experience. The entire staff was attentive and provided excellent service. We spent the first part of the day in the resort pool area, it was beautiful and clean. 30 minutes before our service we came back in to the spa to shower in the Vitamin C infused shower heads. And we enjoyed the sauna as well. Then we waited in the lounge area, drank some tea and fruit infused water. They also provided snacks and a dessert tray. We also all received a complimentary glass of champagne. My sisters reported their massages hitting the right spots, the masseuses gave them excellent treatments. One of the nice perks was the massage table adjusted in the chest area for those of us with a larger chest. I’ve never experienced that before! Two of us received facials with Ashley and we appreciated the facial massage that she included. Relaxed my face and felt so comfortable. We forget how much tension we can hold in our faces! I’ve experienced many spas over the years and this place really hit the mark. Don’t be fooled by some of these reviews. Go in with good intentions and good things will come your way!

I had an absolutely incredible experience with Kat! I walked out feeling amazing, she is truly gifted and has a way of finding exactly where you're holding tension. The facility itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, and offers top-notch customer service. While it’s a smaller, more intimate facility, it is the perfect setup for a day spa. If you’re a local, I highly recommend making a day of it; you can really take advantage of the amenities like the pool, jacuzzis, gym, and sauna. Beyond the massage, they offer mani/pedi services too, making it a great one-stop shop for self-care. I’ll definitely be back!

I received a gift card and picked Ocean Pearl Spa in Carlsbad for a pedicure. Tammy was AMAZING! Friendly and did a great job! We talked the whole time! It was a relaxing environment and the time flew by. I highly recommend her! Don’t hesitate, you can thank me later.😀

Had a prenatal massage recently, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Im rating it 3 stars for a few reasons, but nothing to do with the massage itself. First, the shower I used needed a good scrubbing. I could see the orange mildew build-up between the tiles and although they had bottles of body soap, shampoo and conditioner, they were all empty when I went to use them. The conditioner bottle area looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while with quite a bit of dry/old conditioner built up. Lastly, when it came time to check out, I didnt like that when I was offered to leave a tip on my card, the receptionist immediately said tip started at 20% and then went up from there. Im all for leaving gratuity for a service I enjoy but to start off by telling me what I should offer didn't sit well with me. Given the price that you pay, I'm not sure I would revisit again.

The massage and masseuse were great but other than that, I wouldn’t return. The music that played throughout was upbeat pop music, which isn’t very relaxing. The only teas provided were caffeinated and there were minimal refreshments. The showers are infused with some kind of essential oils which was awesome, but the shower only stayed warm for a couple minutes, and didn’t ever get hot. (The staff who showed me around said the shower next to the one I used had trouble getting hot so I didn’t choose that one). The jacuzzi is outside in the hotel pool area so it’s not a secluded, relaxing hot tub, but is in the common areas of the hotel which was disappointing. The hydrating scalp massage is about 2 minutes long and doesn’t get applied to the whole scalp. Overall I’m disappointed and I didn’t feel like what I paid for was worth it. This is more like a salon with massages vs an actual spa.
