⚠️BEWARE‼️ I brought my Dodge Charger over to this place for a simple radiator fan replacement. These guys took 1 week to get that installed. BEFORE I LEAVE MY CAR AT ANY SHOP, I ALWAYS DO A PHYSICAL INSPECTION FOR ANY DAMAGES JUST IN CASE ANYTHING HAPPENS WHILE AT THE SHOP. Gratefully i do this, and I RECOMMEND the rest of yall do the same. Take Pictures of literally every angle! When I get the call that my car was ready, I, just like anyone else jumped up of excitement. I got to the place, got my car and immediately drove it down street (about 5 blocks down) to the hand carwash, no express carwash. I was drying my car when i noticed a huge dent on the driver side of my vehicle. I began inspecting the damage and noticed some yellow paint on the dent. I remembered seeing yellow painted lifters at their station, and because my car is on adjustable coilovers, you need a "car lift," to bring my car up in order to work on it, so it only made sense. I didnt think twice and called Expertec to report damage, they said bring the car in. I brought the car in the following day with pictures of the dent at the time of pick up and pictures of when I dropped it off. They tried saying that it could have NEVER been them. I emphasized the fact that the dent wasn't there when I dropped off the car. They said they would check cameras to see what happened. It took about 2 weeks, after I noticed that they weren't calling me back, for them to say that they had reached out to person in charge of camera footage but that the person was saying they weren't seeing anything. I got a sus weird feeling that somethingwas right, so I asked to see the video. They said come in person on this day when the guy in charge of cameras is there, so I came on the day of. When I got there, they were acting as if they were "searching," for the footage but soon began telling me that the video of the car leaving their premises was now "purged." Moments before, they had showed me the video of my car entering their garage, and In the video you could clearly see that my driver side had NO DENT. I quickly pointed that out, and they began saying that they had no access to the video of me leaving their facility, but that to me made ABSOLUTE NO SENSE because how are you going to have access to a video that was ONE WEEK OLDER, but not have access to a fresher, more recent video?? They were keen on what they were saying. I had no other option than to report this to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and they sent out an agent to investigate the issue. It wasn't until then, about almost ONE YEAR LATER IN 2024 that they agreed to accept their mistake, or hetter said, take responsibility and pay for repairs and put me in a rental because of the situation they were putting me in. (CAR = DAILY DRIVER) They asked me to get a car rental company and to forward the contract agreement to them so that they could cover the rentals' charges. They signed off on the agreement, everything was documented. My car was repaired at one of their "friends," autonomyshop but I was left with the rentals bill to pay off. It has now been over 2 years (almost 3) and they have YET TO COVER THAT BILL. Today (07/28/2026) i called them to report this ongoing issue from 2023, and they declined to pay that bill off. Now, we are left we a collections bill to pay off that shouldn't have even been there to begin with, when we initially came to this place so that OUR CAR WOULD GET REPAIRED, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AND TURNED OUT TO BE MORE EXPENSIVE ON THE LONG RUN, WITH MORE OUT OF POCKETS COSTS and an overwhelming amount of time and energy lost to a "company," who could care less about their clients HARD EARNED money.

Expertec is very professional. From the front desk to the service managers to the technicians/mechanics. I felt very comfortable having them work on my 1967 Firebird I’ve had for 52 years. They are the only shop I trust with my car going forward as I had unfortunate experiences was previous mechanics. And another thing I like about them is that if they can’t do something, they say it. And recommend places that can. I highly recommend Expertec employees Gary, Walter, Darrell, Chelsea and Krista for their professionalism and customer focus. Ken Smth PS: This is my car they took care of.

So I went to experTech knowing that my 2007 Tahoe had some issues. After they did their inspection come to find out it was a lot worse that I thought. I ended up paying a lil over $9,000 for everything but with the warranty’s and the quality of work that they did … it was worth it. The one thing that really amazed me was how fast everything was done. I will also like to mention the quote on the price they gave me was what I ended up paying they are very professional and I appreciate them.

I had an oil change on my Porsche Macan. Expert Tech had the best price and was very professional. They also did a safety check and identified my brakes needed replacement and also my tires. It was only two the inspection that I realized hello my brake pads were. Thank you Expert Tech

Title: A high price for low quality work. High Level Overview: I took my car in to get fluids and spark plugs done as I was approaching 100k. I heard that Expectec was expensive but I had no idea what I was in for. The mark up on parts are absolutely insane and their rate for labor is high. Unfortunately even with paying these premiums, the work done on my vehicle was not done correctly and when issues came up they wouldn’t reimburse me. There was also an issue with unauthorized work on my vehicle which created an awkward conversation. I have taken my car to a few shops in Huntington and I think you would be better served at Schmittys or Gustafsons as they offer great service. I have given those guys 5/5 stars. Details: I can handle paying a premium price for premium service and expertise however, you will not find that at Expertec. One of the services I got done was an oil change and unfortunately it was not done correctly and oil was leaking from my car and it got all over my garage and drive way. I’ll give credit when credit is due, they did squeeze me in immediately to fix the oil leak (turns out they did not put the cap for the oil filter on correctly) however you’d think they would give a refund or store credit for the trouble and the extra time spent going back to the shop. If I was a business owner that would be a no brainer. I asked if they had something to help clean up the oil. They said they might and left for 10 minutes and didn't come back so I left the shop. I’ll say this… if you can’t trust a shop to do a basic oil change you definitely can not trust them to do more complex repairs. Another issue that happened was when I went to pick up my car the bill was $500 higher than expected. This is because work was done that was not authorized. The solution to that problem was to give me a discount for being a Costco member which almost covered the cost of doing the extra unauthorized world, almost. Which I appreciate from a customer service perspective however it still was unorganized and awkward. Conclusion: there’s better shops in Huntington and after my experience I wouldn’t trust my car in the Expectec shop going forward. If you bring your car here you’ll be paying a massive premium for poor quality work. That’s just not logical. After my experience I’m flabbergasted at how they were awarded one of the best shops in Orange County.
