I ordered the Kabab-e-Kofta for $30. The taste of the Kabab was really good. The portion size was also great because the Kabab is thick and long. It came with a spicy dip which was good too. The dish felt like it could use some vegetables on the side. The price was also a bit too high for an entree. The restaurant interior is a bit better than others in the area. I would come here regularly if the price was more reasonable, but this is a good place to come to for special occassions if you can spend some extra money. Although there exists other Afghan places that serve the same food for much less.

This is the second Afghan restaurant I have tried, and I have fallen in love. The meat is perfectly cooked, delicious and juicy. The portions are absolutely massive, easily can feed 2 people for 1 entree. The interior is beautiful in an intimate setting. The staff are all very professional and friendly.

I love Kabul, I’ve been to their Sunnyvale and San Carlos locations and my family has always had a great experience. Staff is kind, attentive, and helpful when it comes to asking for recommendations. We tried their fried eggplant appetizer which was so good, you need to try it! We also ordered their beef and chicken kabobs, with their white and brown rice and everything was amazing. The place is beautiful and the Afghan culture as well!

Was there on Tuesday evening to celebrate an occasion. There were several tables that seemed to be work colleagues dining together. There was a table celebrating a birthday. It was surprisingly packed for a weekday and deafeningly loud as the evening progressed. Without the noise, it has a lovely and warm atmosphere. But it got so loud that we skipped dessert so we could get out of there. There weren’t enough servers so we waited a long time for everything (food came out promptly). The servers were pleasant and never forgot to get us things or refill our water, it just all simply took a long time. My family got the combination kabab and I got the beef kabab/kabab e teka in the photo. The food was great and the portions were large. We each took home half the food we got. But next time I will ask for rare instead of medium rare because everything was cooked medium or medium well. I liked that the skewers are pulled out for you by the server. The food comes with the most delicious green sauce. I am addicted to it! Brought some home and have had it for three days now. Supposedly the old version was not spicy. The current one is so spicy/hot but doesn’t cause any digestive discomfort (which is a first for my extra sensitive gut). The food is good for the price: the beef was slightly tough, my family said the lamb was good and the chicken was juicy but the favourite was obviously beef. I would prefer to return here outside of peak hours due to the noise levels.

Came here on a whim, as atmosphere reminded me of a thai place I went to a lot in San Diego. The curries we ordered were flavorful and the large portions justified the slightly higher prices. Both of us had leftovers. My one main critique would be that while I shouldn't complain about free bread, a lot of bread with a huge portion of rice and a bowl of curry is a bit unbalanced. Would happily return though.
