I stopped by this café for a quick afternoon coffee and snack and ended up enjoying some baklava with a Turkish coffee. I was initially thinking of staying for dinner, but I wasn’t quite hungry that day, although I’m definitely planning to return for a full dining experience. The place has a lively, casual vibe and offers a mix of German and Mediterranean dishes such as gyros, large salads, schnitzel, and more. They also have an impressive selection of German beers, various coffee options, and plenty of baked treats. I ordered two slices of pistachio baklava, which were really good- fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Turkish coffee was authentic and exactly what I expected. Overall, a nice quick stop, and I’m looking forward to coming back to explore more of their menu. Update: I ordered Turkish menemen (breakfast) through uber eats. It was hot and fresh, very filling and comforting.

I always love coming here because they are friendly and the outdoor seating is comfy and fosters a good sense of community. They also have a great beer selection and really good beer prices for the South Bay area. Today, I have to give the food mixed reviews. I enjoyed my knockwurst with grilled onions, sauerkraut and brown mustard. The sausage was tasty and the bun was soft and sweet. The krinkle fries held the ketchup well but were otherwise a little dull. I had to add salt. My wife felt the same about her fries and also the steak wrap. She said the steak was tender but not super flavorful, nor did the tzaziki have much flavor. The baklava was sweet and crunchy, but again the dough could have had more flavor. I enjoyed the pistachio over the chocolate.

Having visited Olympus Beer Garden for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I’ve found it to be a consistent staple of the iconic Castro Street scene in Mountain View. For a morning start, their omelette and coffee are top-tier, though the hash browns could definitely be crispier and more seasoned. Transitioning into lunch or dinner, the beer is undoubtedly amazing, capturing those authentic German flavors that are hard to find elsewhere, and the pretzel is the perfect salty companion. However, the food during the later meals was a bit hit-or-miss; while the atmosphere is great, the chicken felt a bit dry and would benefit from a lot more seasoning to match the bold flavors of the drinks. It’s an unbeatable spot for the location and the brews, but a few tweaks to the kitchen's consistency would make it perfect.

Always a great experience. Good food and good beer. They sell Liters! 🍻 The gyro bowl is good and a good amount of food. The schnitzel is good, I like the plate more than the sandwich.

The location couldn’t have been better! We just finished the Sunday farmers market and decided to stop in to Olympus Café and bakery for brunch. It was an amazing delicious decision. I’ve never gotten a more perfectly served French toast with Nutella, whipped cream and strawberry 🍓 Great idea Alan.
