My first try on Afghan food, but the best experience ever. Being curious about Afghan food, we just find it from Google map. Very delicious food. The Borani Banjan is a must try. IMHO, the Kabob is better than some Mediterranean food. Truly homemade. Definitely, will pay more visits regularly.

I had the chicken and beef plate. The food was well prepared and very delicious. The salad was crunchy and fresh. I’m only taking a star off because I think they served a bit too much rice for the amount of meat I got on the plate. It was definitely a stretch to finish all the rice.

Met the Husband and wife and it really is like eating at someone’s home. Best I’ve had so far and even blows away many of the best Persian food I’ve had over the years. Some places are worth traveling out of your way for to eat at again and again. This is one of those places. Manana

The place stinks of some paint smell and the ambiance is so bad! The outside premise doesn’t make it too good either. Unfortunately the food is bland and oily! The dumplings were decent but the chicken seemed heavily colored red! Food was served cold.

Hands down the best Afghan food in the Bay Area. As an Afghan who lives in San Francisco, I make the monthly trek to southeast bay in search of home made delicious Afghan food and in that search, I’ve tried almost every Afghan restaurant in the Bay Area and I keep coming back to Awasana. The food is delicious and whenever I have visitors from out of town I make the hour drive from the city to treat them here. Everyone has loved it. The owners are friendly and the food items are too die for. Highly recommend!
