Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, so here's a quickie Lots of books. Lots of affordable books Lots of kid books. Lots of fiction and nonfiction Lots of stationery, journals, book reading assets gift goodies Etc. A lot of toy stuff related to popular culture -see pictures A lot of Science fiction and Manga Although for a real science fiction experience, Dark Carnival in Berkeley is always the best on the West Coast, but this and other Barnes and Nobles have decent author selections Incredibly good magazine selection, a rarity these days and not duplicated by most independent bookstores and media shops. So what you're looking at is bit of living history in terms of periodical media And it's very useful. You'll find magazines for pretty much every single interest you have or your gifties might have. You can't beat a brick and mortar bookstore. A place where you can randomly open up a book to any page. Do a quick read get a sense of whether or not it hits you or not. Or find things that will inflame those Sparks of curiosity that your children and nieces and nephews might have. We are fortunate in the San Francisco Bay Area to have a decent number of bookstores. Support them all. Whether it's Barnes& Noble or any of the independents in the area

Great location with friendly staff, cafe (muffin & iced tea) and clean & bright restroom 🚻🚺. Outdoor seating is overlooking the exit & pick-up parking of the new Japanese market. Sat and read SF Giants books while wife shopped 😁

I called yesterday, 6/15, about a lego set that is nearly impossible to get now but they had one in stock. They informed me that it was on hold but if the person didn't come in by end of day, I could all at 7pm and reserve it to pick up. I called at 7 and was told that I actually could not reserve it until 10am the next day. I clarified that if the person did not pick it up by closing on 6/15 that I could just walk in right at 10am and purchase it. They said yes. I also clarified that if I called before 10am, could I reserve it and they said no. Reservations are only taken during store hours. Today, I drove 2.5 hours to this store. I arrived at 9:45am and waited until the store opened and was the first person inside the store. Low and behold they had taken a call outside of business hours and reserved the Lego set. When I asked why that was allowed when I was told it wasn't, they just shrugged and said the manager took the call earlier and reserved it. How is this acceptable? Why was I told one set of rules, but it was broken for someone else? I do not recommend this store because the managers obviously do not follow protocol and the amount of wrong information they told me between yesterday and today is completely unacceptable.

This place has two floors of books, toys and games, restrooms, and a Starbucks location. All of the displays are arranged nicely. The store had plenty of customers, but it wasn't crowded. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to visit. I recommend checking prices online before deciding to buy something here.

Much bigger in size than other book stores! Love the kids section and how they paid attention to the toys zone!
