1 star. I would not recommend AJS Auto Clinic at all based on what I went through with my 2022 Audi Q3. My Audi was brought to AJS in June 2025 because of an insurance claim. Their own records say the car was towed to the shop on June 9, 2025. On June 20, 2025, I gave a written authorization that specifically allowed Mark at AJS to communicate with my insurance company, provide estimates and documents, and coordinate claim-related activity. That was not an authorization for repairs. I did not authorize teardown, dismantling, repairs, storage charges, or lien activity, and I never signed a repair authorization allowing AJS to repair my vehicle. My insurance claim was denied on June 25, 2025, and this is where things really went left. After the claim was denied, AJS did not provide me with the basic paperwork and information I needed to understand what they were supposedly charging me for or what they were doing with my vehicle. I was not provided with: • a signed repair authorization • an itemized final invoice • a written storage agreement • a written disclosure of the daily storage rate • clear written notice that storage charges were starting or accumulating • a breakdown supporting the towing charges • documentation showing what repairs were supposedly performed • documentation explaining the basis for a $300-per-day storage rate • copies of the lien-sale paperwork AJS later used involving my vehicle Nobody handed me paperwork saying, “Your storage rate is $300 a day and this is what you now owe.” Nobody gave me an itemized invoice showing these charges building up. Nobody gave me documentation showing I authorized the repairs they later claimed money for. Months later, I found out AJS was claiming extremely large storage charges and had gone through a DMV lien-sale process involving my Audi. What makes this even worse is that AJS did not give me the lien-sale paperwork themselves. I had to go get it on my own through a California DMV Public Records Request just to find out what had been submitted concerning my own vehicle. The records I obtained from DMV showed paperwork submitted on behalf of AJS listing September 10, 2025 as both the towing/storage date and the date work/services were completed. That same paperwork claimed $2,050 in towing, $1,000 in repairs, a $300-per-day storage rate, and $8,400 in storage charges. That immediately raised a serious issue because AJS’s own records say the vehicle was already at their shop on June 9, 2025, roughly three months earlier. I filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. BAR investigated the matter, obtained records from AJS, identified documentation and lien-related issues, and issued citations. This is not just me being mad about a bill or unhappy with customer service. I never authorized repairs, I was not given the proper documentation explaining the charges, I had to get critical lien-sale records from DMV myself, there are conflicting dates in the official paperwork, and the matter became serious enough to result in a state regulatory investigation and citations. More than a year after AJS took possession of my Audi, they still have my vehicle. I am continuing to document everything and pursue this through the proper regulatory and legal channels. Based on my experience, I would not trust AJS Auto Clinic with another vehicle and I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Everything I am saying here is based on my own firsthand experience and records in my possession, including AJS’s own documents, records I obtained through the California DMV, and information from the Bureau of Automotive Repair investigation.

I’ve worked with Mark at AJ Auto Clinic several times now, and every experience has been great. He has helped me with multiple situations on my cars, including my Alfa Romeo and my Hondas. One thing I really appreciate is how thorough and honest they are. On my Alfa Romeo, there was a defective headlight that needed to be replaced. Technically it was still showing as working, so it would have been easy to just leave it alone, but Mark and the team consistently followed up with me about it, even when I was the one lagging. They’ve also done some extensive collision work for me. Mark repaired the front end of my Honda and also did fender work on my Alfa Romeo. Both times the cars came back looking seamless and drove exactly the same as before. You really couldn’t tell anything had ever happened. Auto repair shops sometimes get a bad reputation for upselling or trying to take advantage of people, but I’ve never felt that way here. Mark is always professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. I actually meant to write this review the last time I was here, but it didn’t post, so I wanted to make sure I came back and said thank you. I really appreciate the service and care I’ve received here. If you’re looking for a trustworthy auto shop, AJ Auto Clinic is a great place to go.

Mark and his team were great! I came in with a small issue on my Lexus LX570 — a ceiling vent that had come loose. His tech fixed it right away, and they didn’t even charge me. Super honest, professional, and helpful people. I’ll definitely be coming back here for future service.
