I ordered through their website because no one ever answers the restaurant phone. After waiting 30 minutes, I arrived to pick up my food, but it still wasn’t ready. The to-go line was very long, and I ended up waiting another 30 minutes just to get my order. When I finally got home, this is what I received for a $27 deluxe pork ramen with pork chashu this is what I got? I didn’t double check the food before I go because there are 6 people standing in front of the counter blocking and waiting for their food. I got this? I was disappointed because I expected more for the price. I thought it might come with a shredded pork bowl or at least a more complete meal. The pork chashu is so chewy can’t eat it. Overall, the long wait and the value for the price did not meet my expectations. The chicken Kagrage is so hard to bite not crunchy. The sausage the skin came with it at the end. lol never seen this before.

Came to Daikokuya El Monte and had a great experience. I ordered the Spicy Veggie Ramen, and it was really good—rich broth, great depth of flavor, and perfectly spicy without being overwhelming. We also ordered the Daikokuya Ramen, and everyone at the table loved it. The noodles were cooked just right, and the broth was deep and comforting. Solid ramen spot with consistent quality. Definitely coming back.

I would have given it five star if the service was good. The ramen noodle was tasty. The setting is nice. But the service was so so. We were in the middle of eating our ramens and there was still one roll left on the plate, but the waitress came and took the plate without even asking whether we were done with the roll. Not sure why she would do that.

Attention EL MONTE!!!! You have a well known gem in your city. There is another location in downtown Los Angel Little Tokyo and its anyways busy. Don't take that drive to LA, enjoy it in your own back yard. The food is great I've had the Poke bowl and ramen both delicious. Fresh food and very clean environment. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Whenever we visit Little Tokyo, we will have ramen at Daikonuya. It was a pleasant surprise to find this spot in El Monte, as it's way closer to where we live. All the dishes we ordered tasted great. Service is prompt and friendly. Will definitely visit again in the future.
