I’ve been a member of this CrossFit community since December 2025, started private training with Coach Paul, and have now transitioned to group classes. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience. This was my very first experience with CrossFit, and while it’s definitely challenging, I’ve truly grown to love it. Every workout pushes me outside my comfort zone, and the coaches and members are always there to encourage and support you. The atmosphere is welcoming, positive, and full of people who genuinely want to see you succeed. In April, I started working with Coach Paul for a three-month nutrition program, and it completely changed the way I look at nutrition. Instead of following a restrictive meal plan, I was given macros that were tailored specifically to my body, goals, and lifestyle. I never felt like I had to give up the foods I enjoy, and I learned how to fuel my body while still making progress. The knowledge I gained has been invaluable. I’m now able to enjoy social events, make mindful choices, and stay on track with my nutrition. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever. If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym with knowledgeable coaches, personalized nutrition guidance, and an incredible community that truly helps you build lasting habits, this is the place for you.

I can’t recommend this gym enough. The combination of CrossFit-style, bootcamp and Hyrox training, offers something for everyone. Focuses on improving your own health and fitness, not competing with people around you. The monitored kids room has made it possible for me to consistently attend classes as a parent, and over the last 14 months, I’ve lost more than 60 pounds while continuing to build strength and complete two Hyrox simulations. More than anything, I found an amazing community of supportive coaches and members who celebrate every when they are small.

Eastvale Athletics is amazing! If you want to get moving and get healthy, this is the place to go. Everyone is so friendly and motivated. It’s the best gym ever. I signed up for personal training and nutrition there with Paul and it was the best decision I ever made. He has completely changed my life. Before I met him, I had no control over my eating and for 9 years I was trying everything I could to get back in shape. Home workouts. Kickboxing. Carb Cycling. Virtual Personal Training (due to COVID). Nothing was working. I was starting to give up hope, but I never wanted to accept that this was “the new me.” The only thing that ever worked for me was having a personal trainer in person. So in January, I signed up. At the time, I had a different nutrition coach with a third-party, but things clearly weren’t working because I continued to gain weight even after I started working out with Paul. In March, I switched my nutrition plan to him and the transformation began. Day 1 was at Disneyland of all places, but I made it happen. The reason why I was able to make it work was because Paul left all the food choices up to me. All he did was help me figure out my protein count, max calories, and max fat and carbs. The rest was up to me! It was very nerve wracking at first and felt like so much work tracking everything I was eating, but overtime it became second nature. I can’t even BELIEVE how much I’ve changed in such little time! I’m currently down 40 pounds and counting! And in case you’re wondering, I did this without a single injection. No GLP-1 for me! HUGE shout out to Paul! I couldn’t have done ANY of this without you. #EastvaleAthletics #EAStrong #PersonalTraining #NutritionCoach

My sister has been coming to this gym for some time now and has been asking to come try it out. Trying out a new gym can be intimidating but not this gym. I finally built up the courage to try it with my sisters on their family appreciation day. I must say it was not intimidating at all. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The coach was motivating and not overbearing. The workout was challenging but I was able to do some modifications due to my past knee injury and was not given a hard time why I had to do modifications. All the members were all cheerleaders to each other and pushing them to keep going.

I completed 10 personal training sessions with Paul, and this review reflects my experience. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are friendly. However, my experience with the personal trainer Paul was not positive, and I would not recommend him. There are plenty of reasons why, below: From early on, the training didn’t feel aligned with what I clearly communicated I wanted. I specifically said I was not looking to focus on cardio or certain free weight exercises, yet a significant portion of the first few sessions included exactly that. It felt like my preferences weren’t being taken seriously. I was being pushed outside my limit to a point where I couldn't even return for the next session two days later. I also had concerns around how feedback and questions were handled. When I tried to ask about the approach or push for adjustments, the responses often felt dismissive rather than collaborative. In one conversation, I was told words to the effect of, “I know what works because I’m more muscular than you,” which made it difficult to have a constructive dialogue. He justified it by saying something like "I wouldn't question you in your career" and he demanded that I trust his process. That came across as an appeal to personal authority rather than a reasoned explanation. A bit of a “know-it-all” approach than one focused on working with a client. We eventually recalibrated the exercise after I firmly pushed back on his initial program. There were also important concerns related to my physical condition. I clearly communicated before that I have a herniated disc and experience sciatica pain. I specifically said that certain movements, like kettlebell squats, were uncomfortable for me. Despite that, I was still asked to perform them, with the explanation that they were “light” and shouldn’t be an issue. They were an issue, as I was in discomfort during and after those sessions. In my view, that showed a lack of understanding or consideration for those limitations. I also had concerns around safety during sessions. On multiple occasions, safety clips were not used during barbell exercises. As someone who is not highly experienced with those lifts, I expressed discomfort when the weights began to shift unevenly. Even after raising this, the clips were still not used. He said something like "you don't need them." again dismissively. That’s a basic safety precaution that should not be optional. For me, the worst part though was that were frustrations around communication and policies. I was charged for two missed sessions, one of which I told Paul that I couldn't do because I was too sore after the first session. For the second, I provided approximately 22 hours’ notice but was still charged under a strict 24-hour policy. He never told me that those sessions would be cancelled and I wouldn't be able to reschedule them. In both of these occasions, other trainers and facilities would had been more flexible and told us about the policy and given us notice that we would be charged. Paul didn't, and when I asked him about this when it was time to renew, he dismissively said "Why should I care what other trainers in your past did?" While I understand policies exist to discourage bad apples who abuse it, I made my comms very clear to Paul for those two sessions. I would have appreciated clearer expectations upfront and a more reasonable level of flexibility, especially early in the relationship. This dismissive tone and behaviour was a common thread I experienced, in his coaching and his policies. Overall, my personal experience with Paul felt rigid, dismissive, and not collaborative. I was looking for a trainer who would take my input seriously, adapt to my physical limitations, know my sport or at least try and understand it, and prioritize my safety. That wasn’t my experience here. I'm quite dissatisfied by the services. I certainly wouldn't recommend Paul to anyone.
