10/10 try this place out!! beautiful location, great (professional and clean) facility with a variety of class and individual options i came to see Coach Red to improve my wrestling technique. while there, i was treated with immense hospitality and greeted with high-level trainers and fellow athletes. i wasn’t able to try group class, but i’ve heard nothing but great things. this spot is constantly improving and growing at a rapid rate, attracting professional athletes from around the world. yet, the locals seemed to find it accessible, affordable, and the best gym going on in town. go to HATC - you won’t be disappointed. jump in the lake after your session, or use their showers.

Hands down the best open-access gym in Big Bear. High Altitude Training Center has all the machines, weight racks and equipment that you could want, and there is plenty of equipment so even when it's busy- there is room to move and equipment available. The staff & support are helpful. HATC is newly renovated, always clean, has a great class schedule and is opening the cafe/ juice bar soon. The monthly membership has the most reasonable price and is an absolute steal for all that is included, even at the basic access level of membership. Hours have also expanded - Open early until late. Right off the boulevard near the village, but alwaysplenty of parking. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this gym since it was at stater bros. Since then it has always been great. Plenty of good equipment, clean environment, helpful staff, and just a good experience. The price is high but so is your life so choose wisely

As a professional elite athlete, I highly recommend going to another gym facility. The management is extremely unprofessional. This facility is unorganized, unresponsive, & not up to professional standards. What makes this worse is they do not consider your safety, space or time. Which can be dangerous for any athlete. I felt the need to make this statement; to keep other athletes safe. It’s not okay to take advantage of athletes. That’s what this facility did to me; and my whole fan base saw it.

Best gym on the mountain! Recently gone through new ownership thank god. Clean machines, staff who care, not perfect but it’s the best we got up here. Worth you checking out!
