Good breakfast place. Probably one of the best in eastern Contra Costa county. Ample seating, good ambiance, feels like Mels Diner but food is way better in my opinion and reasonable. A lot of Carbs and protein, no fiber, but that's on us, it is what we ordered.

Fantastic diner 50’s atmosphere with delicious food, generous portions, and Amazing service.The Vegan Skillet was delicious. The staff always makes us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and the prices are VERY reasonable. If you’re looking for a classic diner experience with great comfort food, and The Best service this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended Lumpy’ Diner!❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful breakfast spot! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tastes homemade with extra care. The service is truly amazing — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to start your day. Gina is the nicest person ever. She always makes us feel welcome. Almost every time that we've come here my daughter and I and my grandson we always get her section along the windows, it's so nice. Everybody here is really nice really friendly. The cooks are great they do a really good job the food always tastes amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a good breakfast and a good morning or even lunch or dinner either way you can't go wrong here.

My husband and I had a terrible first experience at Lumpy's Diner. We walked in and were NEVER greeted or acknowledged by staff. We stood waiting at the front for several minutes until another customer walked in behind us and kindly told us we could probably seat ourselves at an open table to the right. Not a single employee said “hello,” “we’ll be right with you,” or even acknowledged our presence. We sat down and continued to patiently wait while the couple behind us — the same people who helped us — were acknowledged and spoken to almost immediately. We tried to be understanding because there was a car show going on and the restaurant was busy. However, what made it clear this was more than just being busy was when another customer sitting nearby informed one of the waitresses that we had been waiting quite a while, and the waitress responded with a dismissive hand gesture toward us instead of helping or even speaking to us. This place came highly recommended by friends, and it was our first time visiting. Unfortunately, the experience was beyond disappointing. In a time where people have countless dining options and choose where to spend their hard-earned money, basic respect and acknowledgment should be the bare minimum. We ultimately left feeling ignored, disrespected, and unwelcome. Needless to say, we will not be returning, and I will absolutely be sharing this experience with others. If I could give it zero stars, I would . ONE STAR IS FAR TOO MUCH!
