First off the atmosphere is wonderful. I think you should go there for drinks more than anything, but the food was a bit of a disappointed this place came with a few recommendations but I had a burrito Mojado, which is my favorite and I got half green Verde and the other half red both sauces lack any flavor it taste like it came from the can and I got half Jerome and half Asada. I was disappointed with the quality of the Asada as far as the flavor and the Teir own as well. I had way too much beans and rice and a little bit of meat for $20 burrito. Our waitress was wonderful She made us feel warm and welcomed with our kids and everything, but my wife noticed that she served a group of people they came after us with more people in their party and they were getting their food before us and it was taco Tuesday, so you have to self serve your condiments, like the radish and the lemons, and my wife noticed that the reddish was not cold and pretty old like exposed to the air in the lemons some of them have you know dark keep those spots inside of them, which was not very desirable normal place would probably not let that go out on the table. Basically we would’ve rather go to a street taco for good flavor and everything but it was a nice environment for sure and I think if you guys go there to drink you’re gonna get very happy because I think they look good with the drinks, but they need to step it up with the flavor of the food and balancing the meter rice and beans ratio. I hate to give a bad review, but this is just the truth not a bad review. This is just my experience. Could’ve been a bad night or the wrong Cook.

In area for work and located this place. Was clean outside and inside. Had the Dragon Roll and what an amazing expansion of flavor. It was an appetizer that became my whole meal as it’s a huge serving. If in area again I’ll be back. The staff was extra attentive and their birthday recognition to another customer was exciting! This was a Monday night 7:30pm

Taco Tuesday is a long standing tradition for my cousin and I. On her last night in town, and on our way back from visiting our grandma, I took my cousin to check out Kalaveras. I had been there twice before for Sunday brunch, but this was my first time on a Tuesday. It did not disappoint! We made it just after Happy Hour started, so it was kind of empty at first. That soon changed. I LOVE the ambiance there. There is unique wall art and decorations throughout, tv screens in each area playing Latin music videos for all age groups, and the custom service was excellent. The server was friendly, checked on us numerous times, and the tables were bussed promptly. The tacos were delicious and only $1.49 each for the majority of the flavors. The margarita flights for 4 mini margaritas are always $20, but are definitely worth it! If you’re in the mood for Mexican Food, I highly recommend stopping by. According to the sign outside, they apparently also have “Margaritas Mondays.”

We showed up close to closing on a Tuesday night and the staff was very friendly and sat us immediately. The food came out quickly and was delicious! They did not rush us and made us feel very welcome. We will keep them in mind in the future when we need a late night meal.

WARNING: I ate their last night as of this writing, it's been over 12 hours since then and my stomach is tossing and turning I had the carne asada plate with avocado on the side, ceviche, and my sister got the molé enchiladas. First, if you really have to eat here I strongly caution you on the chips and tostadas they serve. They're old and nowhere near fresh and the primary cause of stomach issues The ceviche was not very good, and the avocado that came with it was off and had a very weird after taste. I told the server about it and to please give us a fresh serving. He made an excuse saying it was fresh, just that it was exposed to air like I'm supposed to believe that as a daily avocado eater. He brought fresh slices so that's at least something. To add to that, the server only came by every 20 minutes or more, so the service was kind of lacking. They also don't communicate between each other because I asked the busser of wet could have lemons or limes, he said he'd get them; 20 minutes later we're asked by the main server if we needed anything else which I asked if we were going to receive our lemons or limes. Finally got them 5 minutes later, after getting through most of the meal. The service here is pretty bad. 👎 I don't know if it was the ceviche, carne asada, or the chips and tostadas, but maybe it was all of it because now I'm constipated. I eat plenty of Mexican food, spicy food, peppers, fish, and I've never felt like this before.
