We had such a great experience with Judy, the dental hygienist! My daughter used to really dislike going to the dentist, but Judy completely changed that. She was so kind, patient, and gentle, and took the time to explain everything in a way that made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. By the end of the visit, my daughter was actually smiling and said she liked it — which I never thought I’d hear! I’m so grateful for the care and attention Judy gave us. Highly recommended.

I was there for several hours because I have had insurance issues, and the last time I saw a dentist we had to stop because of my severe gag reflex. What a difference a better office makes! This doctor was so incredibly caring and patient when we took my x-rays, and we did it. The entire staff is sincerely competent, compassionate, and professional.

I am so happy!! 😊 I had gone to 4 different dentists that weren't the best!! Today at Gentle Dental I was treated great! Everyone from front desk to the Dentist herself were great! Friendly, personable, professional and all seem to care. Breath of fresh air🤓

In disbelief following my third appointment here. My first appointment it was mentioned I needed a deep cleaning…went with it and what the dentist recommend. My SRP cleaning however was the first red flag, the hygienist never told me she was going to numb me, and proceeded without a warning. As someone who works in the medical field, you should always warn your patients when you are about to proceed with an invasive act. Especially as someone whose never been injected with lidocaine, I was extremely uncomfortable with this and wish I had a warning beforehand. I was in and out within 45 minutes which is extremely fast for four quadrants with SRP. Now my third and last appointment here, I verified before making the appointment it was going to be a routine cleaning covered by insurance and finding out at my appointment time when I’m already in the chair, I’m now considered a “perio maintenance” patient is extremely mis-leading. My appointment time was 11:00, the hygienist Judy walked in at 11:10 and instead of moving forward with the cleaning, spent 20 minutes on trying to sell me on perio-trays and irrigation due to one back molar with deep pockets before staring the cleaning. When the front desk comes over to explain the costs before starting (like I said, I’m already in the chair), it’s charged for irrigation for the whole mouth? Could be a miscommunication between the two or upselling again. I decline the irrigation and continue with the perio maintenance cost and proceed with the cleaning about 11:35 at this point, the hygienist starts scaling the bottom two quadrants and is done within 10 minutes. I had zero lidocaine gel so I could feel every movement and there was no scaling on my top quadrants of teeth. The assistant finished off the polishing and fluoride but I was in disbelief and will not be back. I even asked the hygienist if she cleaned every tooth and she said yes, which there is no way she cleaned my whole mouth in 10 minutes. Very fraudulent and horrible bed-side manner from the hygienist.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this office that felt more like a series of scheduling games and poor communication than actual dental care. The Appointment Run-around: I came in with a toothache and spent two hours in the chair only to be told they couldn't complete the work. I was informed I needed two fillings and a deep cleaning, but was told my insurance would only cover half my mouth at a time. Interestingly, once they rescheduled me, my insurance "magically" approved the entire treatment for a single day. Unprofessional Conduct: While the dentist was actually very kind (the only bright spot of the visit), the hygienist was incredibly rude. She walked into the room while I was mid-filling to tell the staff—right in front of me—that she couldn’t do my treatment and I needed to be rescheduled because she had 15 minutes until her lunch break. Inflexible Scheduling: When the dentist recommended an extraction for an impacted wisdom tooth, the front desk was zero help. I requested a Friday to allow for weekend recovery, but was told the surgeon only works Mondays. When I asked if another location could accommodate a different day, I was flat-out told no and that I’d have to wait a month to see if the surgeon "might" switch his schedule. The X-Ray Run-around: Because of the scheduling issues, I decided to have my extraction done elsewhere. I requested my X-rays, specifically the panoramic view. They sent an email minutes later with every X-ray except the one I needed. I called back that morning, that afternoon, and the following morning. Each time I was told they would "pull the chart," yet I still haven't received the requested files. If you value your time and expect professional coordination between the front desk and clinical staff, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
