This restaurant is located on the second floor inside Monmouth Mountain In, which makes is convenient and one of very few dining options in the area. Restaurant is beautiful, well maintained and offers plenty of seating. Service is good and staff is very friendly. Food, however, could be better considering a price tag of $32-$48 per main dish. Both the salmon and fingerling potatoes were very greasy; short rib fries appetizer is just chunks of meat on top of fries with a bit of marinated onions of squirts of mayo; rosemary airline chicken breast is tiny and dry and mashed potatoes don’t have much flavor at all.

The food was genuinely bad. I don’t mind paying premium prices, but the quality here was closer to bar food — and not good bar food. I ordered a medium-rare hanger steak ($42) and received something completely overcooked and charred, 5 half fingerlings, 4 green beans (raw). My son described it perfectly: “a steak that had a run-in with a forest fire.” It was inedible. He ordered the “loaded grilled cheese,” ($20) which arrived essentially empty — nothing resembling “loaded.” Photos included. For context, the restaurant was extremely understaffed. The staff were friendly and clearly overworked, but that doesn’t excuse the food quality. Overall, very disappointing. We’ll be heading into the village for dinner tomorrow

The kids chicken breast was not edible. I’ve seen better food at the West Virginia roadkill cookoff. On the plus side, the service was decent and the server comped us this dish. Realistically though they should pay you if you eat this.

We went with our son for our anniversary and were greeted with 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly and then a free dessert after dinner! Service and views were great! Food was good too, not a show-stopper, but good. Would recommend.

One food item arrived undercooked. Sent back and was partially better. The other item, a grilled cheese sandwich, was probably one of the worst things I have received. It arrived cold. The sparse cheese (two total slices) had re-hardened and the two or three 1 mm thick tomato slices had cooled as well losing all of their measly savor. The too thick and very dry bread was over toasted and partially burned. It had been over toasted on both sides of the bread - who does that? Rule #1 of grilled chess sandwiches - generosity with the cheese and hopefully you're using real butter on the grill. The view is amazing if you're there around sunset so, as in most tourist-frequented locations, food quality is able to suffer because of demand. I have been served better food there and I get that bad food is not the server's fault but this is a no go for me ever again. I imagine the fact that the kitchen is in another zip code is problematic for server/kitchen communication and serving food hot. Improvements can be made. There are lighting systems and these neat metal plate covers but I think the grill cheese sandwich was made the day before and reheated. I'm mad at myself for not returning it and not paying because I didn't want to be 'rude' or something.
