You must sign up for their app, this is what you can get on your birthday 🎂. They offer a free entree during your birthday month. The happy hour menu is great also , 4 dollar beer and 6 dollar margaritas 🍹. The 10 dollar salmon tacos have a great flavor. This meal was enough to share and have enough to bring home leftovers, we did order a side of guacamole that came out fresh and creamy. All in all its a good time here with friends and family.

This is one of the worst dining experiences I have EVER had, and that's saying something. I was staying nearby at a hotel near Long Beach Airport, and I hadn't eaten at an El Torito for over 30 years. I thought they had all gone out of business, so I decided to stop in for lunch. The first clue should've been a huge restaurant with like 4 people inside. It also smelled really bad. Not dirty, just smelly. They had a lunch buffet so we opted to do that to make it easy. BIG mistake. The buffet was pathetic and super expensive! There was a sad salad with some tomatoes, some mystery meat hot dishes, cold enchiladas, rice, beans, and a taco "bar" that didn't even have cheese. You couldn't make your own tacos either, there was a woman who made them for you. They only had corn tortillas and the meat was low quality (and the chicken was cheap dark meat). There were some mini bite sized desserts that looked old and gross, we we all skipped those. To add insult to injury, the price was outrageous. We paid $80 for this bad food (the restaurant adds a tacky "labor surcharge" to every check, which is sneaky in my opinion). I'm still so angry that we wasted our money here. It was just awful and a terrible excuse for a Mexican restaurant. I won't make the mistake of dining at an El Torito ever again. Their glory days are long over.

Our go to for late lunch. El torito Lakewood has been a fave of mine. So far service here is amazing, food is good especially the guacamole. Always get them when we come and dine.. atmosphere is cool too, sometimes it gets busy especially on the weekends which is understandable. Come check them out . Also, I want to mention the manager, Joseph or Luis he does a fantastic job . Thanks

Went for late lunch , the food was HORRIBLE ! I ordered the three meat fajita- the steak or chicken has no seasoning, salt or pepper! My rice came absolutely cold, the corn- cornbread was absolutely raw . Others I came with ordered birria tacos, which had no flavor and were dry, and wings half habanero half buffalo….It was not good and the ranch was WATERED DOWN . My other counterpart ordered the combo with enchiladas and tamales, let me just say there was more masa than meat (chicken) and my enchiladas had more oil than meat sauce or tortilla… I ordered a drink that consisted of honey, ginger and lime- they added coffee beans to the top of it , which made it quite….unappetizing. My waiter was amazing, a great help, and had good energy. The experience of food and drinks did not compare, and I am disappointed

Great restaurant at the Lakewood Center mall. They have a large menu specializing in tacos, burritos, and fajitas. We ordered the grilled chicken taco salad and the two taco combination plate and both were outstanding.
