Highly recommend Federico’s Grill & Catering, (also listed as Federico’s Tapas & Bar in Google Maps). The food and atmosphere was amazing!! We had a great time, and the food and drink was even more amazing! It’s a step back in time to the old west, enchanting little gem of a town with amazingly friendly folks. El Gato ;) has the best curtsy and is an amazing host, chef, pastry chef, and all around amazing human! We can’t wait to come back for our next visit! You’re missing out if you don’t visit Rico, his lovely and original establishment… you might just find yourself a cowboy!

European Cafe dining in Fremont You may not be familiar with the format if all the restaurants you visited are in America. However, if you've traveled in Europe, you recognize immediately that Federico's offers a cafe experience similar to European cafes throughout France, Italy, Austria, or England. The food is Italian focused but delivered for top-notch quality. The atmosphere is unique and funky, if you're looking for a chainstyle restaurant, this is not your jam. If you're looking for a place where the waiter knows your name, as soon as you walk through the door, a place that serves great food at a reasonable price, and more atmosphere than Denny's, Chili's, and the elephant bar put together, this is where you want to go.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience . I love the tapas style menu, little bites w tons of amazing flavor. Perfect place for a date or a girls night out. Went w the red as recommended by our server and it def did not disappoint. I look forward to coming back again some time soon.

First off, Federico is a happy, enthusiastic force of nature! But all the staff is nice. The food was excellent, I had a chicken marsala that was top notch, and our dessert was great too. The interesting off the usual path wine selection was extremely reasonably priced. Kinda felt like we'd stumbled into a family dinner. Definitely coming back next time we are in town!

This was our first visit, and we came to celebrate my dad's birthday with my parents. We had a great thyme! Rico was awesome, he handled everything himself and was incredibly friendly. The place is cozy and my parents thought the bathrooms had a great sound system. We'll definitely be back for another birthday celebration
