FOOD IS TERRIBLE!! The carnitas plate was super dry and had a hair!! Tasted like leftovers that were 3days old 😒 I asked for a ceviche tostada with no jalapeños and cook refused to chop a little tomato, cilantro, cucumber. So I ordered a NASTY ketchup sweet based shrimp cocktail and all the veggies I asked for without the jalapeños were there??🤨 I did order the mini sopes of 3 and that was the only thing good there. The prices are upscale but the service and food is not matching or worth it. Sad because the restaurant is cute and the patio super nice. We went on a quiet afternoon in the weekday and all the staff initially ignored us. Saw us standing by the door host stand and just kept ignoring us until we asked if I could just sit wherever I wanted. NEVER COMING BACK or recommending

Decent food, amazing cocktails and good service. We had Chile verde, chicken tortilla soup and Baja fish tacos (my fave). We went on a night that was a bit crowded, but had no problem getting seating and service right away.

The food is good here. I’ve been here a few times and had excellent food. last time I went, I stepped out of the norm. Didn’t have my beer with dinner. Decided to have some soda. Soda tasted kind of funny. I think they might not be cleaned like they need to be both myself and the two people I were with ended up with diarrhea that night any other time I’ve been that’s not happened. The only thing that was different. Was the soda from now on Coke in a bottle.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience given how often my family and I used to dine here. For a long time, we visited this restaurant twice a week despite the higher prices. A typical dinner for three, including two drinks (a beer and a bourbon), was consistently over $100. Unfortunately, when the restaurant began charging for chips and salsa, it changed the experience entirely. What was once a welcoming staple now felt nickel-and-dimed, and it seems many other regulars felt the same way. As a result, we went from being loyal, twice-weekly customers to not returning for more than six months. When I finally did come back—on the opening night of Monday Night Football (Raiders vs. Chargers)—there were six empty seats at the bar and the rest of the restaurant was nearly vacant. While I cannot say with certainty that the decision to charge for chips and salsa alone caused this decline, for an already expensive Mexican restaurant in a city full of excellent alternatives, it may have been the small but significant detail that drove customers away. Better food / better prices at Los Dos Hermans, Vallarta , or El Taquito 1 or 2. (Just to mention a few off the top of my head)
