The food was excellent and delicious. However, my experience was a little soured by the additional 4% "admin fee" that was automatically added to the check. After we asked about the charge, the waiter explained that it was a surcharge to cover credit card payments. However, this was added to the bill before he asked what form of payment we were going to use.... One star deducted for this slightly shady practice.

Came for a burger at the recommendation of the Marin Burger Club. The burger is somewhat forgettable, not having much in the way of flavor. Writing this review less than two weeks after having it, little sticks out. Most notable is the bun, which had an oddly firm crust that I found off-putting. The fries were enjoyable, service good, and restaurant itself well laid out. But as for the burger...it's a slightly nicer version of Gott's burger. Good, not great.

Excellent wine! Most breweries have a crap wine selection but Fairfax Brewing thinks of everything. I can't drink beer and I wanted to enjoy the lovely atmosphere, and I'm happy to share that the wine buyer is obviously very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Food is perfection as well. The only very minor suggestion I have would be to see women's sports on one of the TVs because I find it more interesting.

Disappointing Food and Service at Fairfax Brewing Company I’ve been to Fairfax Brewing Company in Fairfax, CA, multiple times, and it’s been a letdown every visit. The fish and chips are a major disappointment—priced high but tasting like cheap, frozen food straight from a box. For what they charge, I expected so much more. The nachos were even worse. The cheese was cold and had this weird, paste-like consistency. It’s like they didn’t even bother to melt it properly—just a total disaster. The owner’s attitude doesn’t help either. They’re always around, but it feels like they couldn’t care less about the customers. There’s no effort to make you feel valued or ensure a good experience. Overall, this place falls short on both value and service. I wanted to like it, but it’s just not worth the trip.

Great experience at Fairfax brewing company. They have a large outdoor area with benches closest to the building. Having heat lamps that work really well. Inside the tables move around to accommodate different size groups. We had the whipped feta, fish and chips as well as the special which was a katsu sandwich. The whipped feta was out of this world with the perfect amount of honey. We also really liked our fish and chips which came with one large piece of fish and a good amount of chips and the the katsu sandwich was perfectly cooked. I will also say that the food came out incredibly quickly!
