🌲✨The Redwoods have a giant skywalk is absolute Magic for 8 & 4 years old! 🌲✨ As a parent, finding an attraction that equally captivates an energetic 8-year-old and an easily-tired 4-year-old is a massive win. The compact Sequoia Park Zoo completely nailed it no heavy strollers needed, and absolutely zero mid-day exhaustion meltdowns! Don't let the smaller size fool you. This hidden gem holds the exact same gold-standard Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accreditation as world-famous facilities like the San Diego Zoo, so the animal care is completely top-tier. Our absolute highlight was the Redwood Sky Walk. Walking on suspended bridges 100 feet up in the redwood canopy felt like being in a giant treehouse. From up there, we looked straight down into the predator habitat to watch the zoo's three rescued black bears: Tule (the master tree climber), Ishŭng, and Kunabulilh (Nabu), the high-energy comedian who was busy splashing in his pool. My 8-year-old loved the bouncy, open-mesh "adventure leg" path, while the main trail was safe and sturdy enough for my independent 4-year-old. Down on the ground, the kids went crazy for the river otters swimming through an underwater crawl-through tunnel right over their heads! My youngest also spent a solid 30 minutes happily brushing goats in the Barnyard petting area. Local Guide Tip: The zoo borders a massive public park. Skip the crowded zoo cafe, exit right into the park, and let the kids run wild on the fantastic playground while you relax under the giant trees!

Great Zoo! There is a tree sky walk that the whole family enjoyed. You are not limited on the amount of times you can walk it and it wasn't over crowded. The kids also loved the petting zoo area and brushing the goats. We will definitely be back!

This place is AWESOME!! There’s a skywalk that lets you look down on some of the zoo animals, but overall it’s just a cool experience with knowledgeable keepers. My mother is afraid of heights and did not do well crossing the trees for a few minutes, but got over it and even said she’d love to go back. The air smells wonderful up there in the redwoods and it’s wheelchair accessible. There’s kid specific areas too for further exploration; overall very family friendly and accessible for all!

The zookeeper, Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to as we ran into him along the way visiting the animals. What they do at the zoo for these animals is such a service. The skywalk is absolutely impressive and I recommend you go even if you're scared of heights, I found it feeling so secure that I didn't need to worry at all. There's so much above you, if you're scared to look down, but if you're not, If it's a beautiful view of ferns. You can also catch a nice view of the bears, and as I can't remember what they are, I will call them ponies... (We got to watch one dream. It was like watching a puppy dream after going to the dog. ♥️) park!)

This "zoo" doesn't have many animals, but the ones they have are great! Walkways up high through the Redwoods are really fun (and I'm scared of heights!). It has a fantastic layout for walking and everyone was just happy and friendly. It was a really happy, positive experience in every way! Highly recommended! And there's a gray parrot that likes to say, "Hieeee!" We had such a great time there! Go!
