I rarely take the time to post a review but this is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! Like most, I’m not a fan of going to the dentist, and unfortunately for me, my teeth always need work. Today I needed my first crown as well as three fillings. Dr. Tyler McElroy took his time to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. His professionalism is fantastic and I felt safe and informed the whole time. I also got my wisdom teeth pulled here a couple years ago and it was also a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this office!!

Twenty years later, and I still wouldn’t go anywhere else. I first came to Dr. Mac in constant pain with complicated dental issues, and he literally saved my teeth. I’ll always be grateful. Dr. Mac (Sr.) is the OG and the GOAT. His skill, honesty, compassionate care, and unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for his patients are unmatched. He will always be my favorite dentist. Now I see Dr. Mac Jr. (Tyler) most often, and it’s clear he carries on his father’s legacy of excellence. He’s skilled, kind, thorough, and someone I trust completely with my dental care. I’m so grateful for this family legacy of exceptional dentistry. The entire office is exceptional. Special shout out to Susan in the back office who is a wizard with the billing and insurance - she’s amazing. After two decades of outstanding care, I can recommend this practice without hesitation. If you’re looking for a dentist you can truly trust—even with the most complicated cases—this is the place.

Our whole family has been coming to McElroy Smiles for over 20 years. My husband and I, along with all of our kids, have always received kind, professional, and exceptional care. The entire team makes us feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. We’re grateful to have a dental office we can trust with our entire family.

Face it, no one wants to go to the dentist and get a new crown. Typical concerns are time, discomfort, and cost. I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from Dr. Tyler McElroy at Smiles by Design. The numbing procedure was painless, I had headphones and a screen to watch Netflix while he worked on my tooth, they made my crown on site, and the price was less expensive than others I researched. I was impressed with the friendly office staff and state-of-the-art equipment. I highly recommend Smiles by Design.

New to Carlsbad and I found McElroy Smiles online! I couldn't be happier with everyone there from receptionist the Dentists and assistants and my great Hygienist Sean! I had teeth cleaning very professional and I needed on front veneer replaced and I was nervous about the shade matching and they did a great cosmetic job! Many Thanks and I highly recommend! The prices are high but that's the dental world we live in!
