Genuinely DISAPPOINTED. I wanted to like this place as so many social media reels and articles praised this place as a hot spot for a nice dinner, but it really FELL SHORT of expectations, especially for the price. I’m giving this place 2 stars, mainly because our server really was excellent and the lobster pasta we had was tasty - even though the initial order of the pasta had a FREAKING HAIR IN IT. GROSS. 1. Upon entering, it was FREEZING, as the AC was on blast in every area of the restaurant, despite it being very empty upon our 5pm arrival. The staff couldn’t do anything about it, so we just had to deal with the uncomfortable ambiance, despite the decor being trendy for photos. 2. The food was OK. The tuna crudo was decent and we could have don’t without the cake with caviar - it was sweeter than expected and literally the smallest caviar topping - no worth the price. 3. The lobster pasta had a FREAKING HAIR IN IT. We only had a few bites before I had disturbingly pulled a hair from my mouth. UTTERLY HORRIFIED and DISAPPOINTED because it was actually tasty until then. Both my cousin and I have long hair it was not even close to being ours and I immediately stopping eating it out of disgust. We called over a server about it, he just said let me get a manager. I told the manager and he just said he would get a new one, but never acknowledged or apologized for the mishap. He just replaced it and never even offered anything to rectify the situation. The new pasta was fine, but how the situation was handled really ruined the experience. Nevertheless, I paid for all that we ordered and I tipped. Unfortunately, we won’t be dining here again as the experience was less than favorable and the level of professionalism is not worth the price of dining here.

Came here for Happy Hour, and our "pre" 20th wedding anniversary. Made reservations for happy hour at 5pm. When we arrived there was a line out around the corner. I think this is a regular occurrence. When the doors open, everyone rushes to get bar seating, which is first come, first served. At the front desk, we checked-in and they sat us at a table in the main dining room. I let it slide since we didn't want to get the Happy Meal anyway, but also wouldn't get any happy hour drink prices. We ordered: * Berry Hot & Bothered - $18 * Societe Bulbous Hazy IPA - $10 * Beef Carpaccio - $29 * Ode-to-Swan - $34 * Johnny Cake & Caviar - $29 * Half-Baked Red Snapper - $48 * Peaches, Peaches, Peaches - $18 * Butter Me Up - $17 The cocktails were fine. Butter Me Up was the best (an espresso martini). The beer was good. The Peaches and Berry drink were very mediocre. Server did get us two small glasses of champagne for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The Beef Carpaccio was amazing. There is a TON of breadcrumbs so if you inhaled, you'll choke. But the flavor was fantastic. Would order again. The Ode-To-Swan reminded me of the Spanish Sashimi at Valentina. Only they put a metric TON of chives on it so you can't even see the fish. This is a huge mistake. The dish was okay but all I tasted was chives. I love sashimi but would not order this again. The Johnny Cake was good but way too sweet! It's basically a thick pancake with caviar on top. The caviar was very savory and the sea bass rillete underneath was smoky. I loved the flavor combination but we could not finish the dish. The half-baked fish was phenomenal. A stunner. Even with the foggy eyeball staring at you. Soo good, I only wished there was more of that sauce on the plate. Even at $50, I would order this again. Total was $270 after tip. They add a 4% surcharge on the bill which is not great. I would come here again but skip the cocktails. Go to SAGO across the street instead for some banger cocktails. Parking was sparse. Street level only. We had to park a block away but the walk was not bad. It was 69° so the weather was perfect. Service was good but our server was clearly trying to get us to order more food. We did not need a second entree or a plate of carrots or potatoes. I would come back, mostly to try new dishes. The food is expensive but interesting in a way you don't know what something will taste like. Please ditch the chives on the sashimi!

Marssa is outstanding, very attentive, detail oriented, and made some great gluten free recommendations for us. Please know Herb & Sea is expensive. As an appetizer the Cerviche and taro chips were excellemt. Great flavoring, a good portion, and fresh. Our chicken was the better of the two entrees. Flavor was perfected with the chicken, but the meat was overcooked and borderline tough. The seared tuna was very good, the smoked flavor was excellent. Our cut of meat was poor, stringy and not the best, it was a loose tuna. Order the butterscotch boudine for dessert. Excellent flavor, a nice mild lavender whipped cream, and a great caramel finishing taste. Avoid the mixed drink, it is pricey and not worth the pour.

We came for dinner midweek and were so pleasantly surprised at how good it is. We had the cabbage, the bone marrow, the mussel toast, and the shrimp as appetizers which were all insanely flavorful and perfectly cooked. For mains we had the snapper and the pork belly pizza which were both delicious. The snapper seriously had the best slightly crunchy crust, I can’t get over it. The cocktails were amazing too, I had the Sonora one with Tajín and I’d get it a million times over. The place is also super kid friendly which for us is important. Our server Ael was also so lovely and hospitable, she truly is the definition of ‘unobtrusive kindness’ in the service industry. That being said the hostess was pretty blase and not in a particularly good mood, which was the only part that didn’t match the rest of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back though!

This place is overrated - food is not great. For the price we did not find any of their dishes to stand out whatsoever. 4% surcharge on top of their prices and then recommended tip from 20-22% 😂 this place is delusional. The bone marrow appetizer did not have any sweet glaze. Bone marrow is pure fat, sugar or honey balances out the flavor. First time in a restaurant that the bone marrow doesn't add sweet glaze to balance the flavor. Shrimp pasta. I couldn't tell if the noodles were overcooked or if they were some kind of Udon style mix. Had to use a knife to break them up. The shrimp was good though. Red snapper was overcooked. Service was meh. We went there to celebrate our anniversary, the front lady couldn't accommodate us sitting by the window even though we were the first ones there and she was kind of rude about it. Server was nice.
