Title: $2,000 for unfinished repairs—Safety issues unresolved I paid nearly $2,000 at Midas (6955 Village Pkwy, Dublin) to fix a gas smell an engine oil leak, and a brake/parking light issue. They had my vehicle from Monday to Friday, yet I picked it up with the original problems still present. The Issues: Safety Hazard: The left front parking/brake lights are still out and still shows up on my dashboard. I was charged for the replacement, but the work clearly wasn't done. Active Leak: The engine is still actively leaking brown oil. Poor Management: When I reported this, I was promised a call from management to "escalate" the situation. I never received a call and am now being ignored. It is incredibly disappointing to pay nearly two thousand dollars for "repairs" only to be returned a vehicle that is still leaking and has safety lighting issues. Current Status: Since the shop has failed to follow up, I am now disputing the charges and filing a formal complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for billing for services not rendered. Recommendation: Be extremely cautious. If you must use this location, verify every single repair on your invoice before you pay or leave the lot.

I’ve been bringing my 1998 Honda CRV here since 2017, and I’ve always had a great experience. Junior, Louis, and the Dublin Team are always kind, honest, and knowledgeable. As someone who doesn’t know about cars, I really appreciate how they explain things clearly and never pressure me. I trust them completely and recommend this shop!

STAY AWAY!!! I called in to inquire about AC diagnostic and repair. The gentleman who answered was really friendly and welcoming about what they offer. Around $80 for diagnostics is not too high for Dublin area. An update after I took my car; After the diagnostics, I got a repair estimate of $2,000.00. I had to cancel after getting an update from my team and was charged a cancellation fee because the crew had already taken few parts off after I had told them to proceed. I consulted with another technician and told me to purchase refrigerant and fill up. I paid $50 to buy a canister of compatible refrigerant and AC is working well. Updated my review on 5/21/25 - by the way, AC still runs awesome.

I went to this Midas location for a routine oil change, but my experience was very concerning. After the service, I decided to double-check the oil level myself. I discovered that the engine was significantly overfilled — approximately 1 to 1.5 cm above the maximum level on the dipstick. This is not a minor issue. Overfilling engine oil can lead to serious problems such as oil foaming, increased engine pressure, reduced lubrication efficiency, and potential long-term engine damage. When I returned to the shop to address this, the staff initially insisted that the oil level was correct. Only after I firmly insisted did they agree to recheck and adjust it. They ended up draining a large amount of excess oil, which clearly confirmed the mistake. Additionally, the oil filter they used was a very low-quality, budget brand. I strongly recommend that anyone coming here verify what type of oil and filter is being installed in their vehicle. If I had not checked this myself, my engine could have been at risk. I expect a professional shop to follow proper specifications and take responsibility without arguing with the customer. Please be cautious and always double-check the work done on your vehicle.
