Strange policy on the Hydro massage and massage chairs. 5 Minutes? There is literally no one waiting for them. Everywhere else, never a problem getting . 10 and 10 minutes. Weird. I had 2 back surgeries. 6 screws in by back. Need my 20 minutes.Where in the world is the Duarte, Ca sign. Showers are grymie. Toilets are nasty. Toilet roll dispensers on the floor. Even If you already checked in already. You must check in again if you step out and let them know first. The only Planet Fitness where the Manager Is a control freak. Real uncomfortable about the waste of time with all these policies they made for themselves that No one else in California has. Cocky attitudes and booshie place. I think I'm canceling my membership and going to 24 hour fitness after this experience in Duarte. Just a waste of time. Don't like getting treated like a 10 year old. We'll pray for better management and better respect and attention on guests needs.

I have been working out at Duarte location for over two months now. Last week, i stopped for a short workout and was approached by a staff member who informed me that shoulder bags are not allowed on the gym floor, although, i didn’t have mine on the floor but rather hangingon the side of the machine. I understand and respect the policy. However, I was also told that some staff members do not consistently enforce it, and no one had mentioned it to me on my previous visits. It’s frustrating to receive mixed messages. Consistency is important—either the policy is enforced for everyone or it isn’t. When enforcement varies from one staff member to another, it creates confusion for members. In addition, during many of my visits I notice dumbbells, mats, water bottles, benches, and other items left on the floor, sometimes blocking access to equipment and walkways. This is both a safety concern and an inconvenience. I believe more attention should be given to reminding members to return equipment to its proper place after use. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the experience for everyone.

Very nice employees, clean gym, gym etiquette is encouraged and done by all guests, and it’s never too busy to the point where no machines are open. Overall, very happy with this gym!

Update 2/7/2026 I had been using the barbell racks, smith machines, cardio machines and free weights, which are all great. But as someone really short (5'), I find that all the leg machines are too big for me...That wasn't a problem before at other gyms. --------------- January 2026 I’ve been coming here for two months. Since then, they’ve added 5 benches and two barbell racks, and a set of free weights. I don’t use beyond the 50 lb dumbbell so it’s been enough for me. I like the friendly vibe and that it’s not overcrowded as long as I avoid peak hours between 5-7 on the weekdays. It’s also great that the fans and AC keep the air circulating so it’s not stuffy there. Also, the staff is very helpful. One of the newer benches was a little hard to adjust and one of the staff members helped greasing it right away.

Good gym with decent employees and customers. We all treat it as a second home. Wipe it after use and keep it clean. Plus their team wipe and clean very often.
