Excellent service. I was treated very kindly and the staff was great. I was having trouble getting a deep cleaning at other places but right here, they offered to help me with managing my insurance so I could have it done today. They were efficient, friendly, and knew how to provide me with the appropriate dentist care. Thank you!

I initially came to this office because a filling from a previous dentist had fallen out and needed to be replaced. During my consultation, a staff member told me I had cavities. I asked Dr. Joseph Cheung to show me where they were on my X-rays. After reviewing them, he told me I actually had no cavities and that I only needed the filling replaced. I specifically confirmed with him that I had zero cavities, and he agreed. When I returned for treatment, I was surprised when I was told another tooth was going to be filled as well. I regret not questioning it more in the moment because I had previously been told I had no cavities. Ever since that filling, I have lived with a constant foreign-body sensation that feels like there is something stuck between my teeth every second of every day. It is not a sharp pain, it is a persistent sensation that my brain cannot ignore. My tongue is constantly drawn to that area, and no matter how much I floss or brush, the feeling never goes away. What has been hardest is the effect it has had on my life. I am a college student working toward a career in healthcare, and this sensation has repeatedly interrupted my ability to study and concentrate. I have found myself unable to focus because my attention is constantly pulled back to that tooth. It has affected my daily life, my emotional well-being, and caused me significant anxiety and periods of depression over the past year. I have spent countless hours worrying about it, trying to explain it to dentists, and searching for answers, only to feel like no one understands what I am describing. I returned to this office multiple times hoping someone would take the time to investigate what had changed after the filling. At my most recent visit, I explained that the sensation had never gone away and had been constant for over a year. I was hoping for answers, or at the very least a plan to investigate the problem. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and without any next steps or referral. I understand that not every dental problem has an immediate answer. What was most disappointing to me was not that there wasn’t an instant solution—it was that I left feeling unheard. After living with this for over a year, I had hoped for compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to help me find the cause. Instead, I lost confidence in this office and have decided to seek care elsewhere.

Very Nice and friendly front staff. The Dentist and hygienist have been extremely nice and polite. Every time i have been there the wait has always been less than 5 min. They dont rush you. I bring my whole family here. Best Dentists in Downey.

I had crowns made twice because the first ones were really bad. After the second time, they sent me home with a bad pain and a crowns too high, that I couldn't eat solids for five days. I returned and the pain was constantly still. I finally went to another dentist and they found many issues with the crowns. I have to pay thousands of dollars for everything!!! I wouldn't return ever to the Downey Modern Dentist!!!!

Worst place ever took 2 hours to get xray and then another hour to get seen by the dentist. Walked in at 10 left 2. This dentist was really horrible never made me feel at ease, only gave me one ultimatum then he also diagnosed me with a disease which had me really worried and upset obviously. While waiting for my paperwork at the front some random lady tells me to read everything they give me Carefully to read the fine print. She said she was getting charged a lot of money for a cancellation fee and also said she didn't recommend this place to NO one. This was the worse experience ever. Walked in with a lot of pain. But when I left it was worse because I left with pain and with a new disease. DONT RECOMMEND
