Due to terrible experiences elsewhere, I avoided the dentist for 6 years. I came here and I am actually excited to keep coming to my future appointments. I was a little nervous so I forgot some names, but the dental assistant that did my x-rays was great. He understood I was dreading the process and he helped me feel comfortable. My dentist, Ariella Pessah, was also great! She talked to me in a way I could understand and process everything. Her explanation eased me into being okay with the procedure I needed. The oral surgeon, Pedram Marhabi, and his team were AMAZING! I was kind of stressing myself out about everything and he came in and just talked to me like a normal person, not just as a patient to get out the way. I don’t think I could have gotten through it if it weren’t for him. Just one day after getting 5 teeth taken out, I already feel great and I am healing well.

I had an amazing experience with the team at Downey Modern Dentistry! Dr. Anika and the dental assistant Sully were incredible — I had four fillings done in less than an hour and everything went so smoothly. They were both so caring, gentle, and professional, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Marie the hygienist — she is beyond amazing! I honestly go there just for her. She’s so thorough, kind, and makes every visit such a great experience. I truly felt taken care of by the whole team. Highly recommend to anyone who’s nervous about dental work — they are fantastic!

Felt ignored. The care was standard and the staff friendly but we were asked to be there 15 minutes early for a 2 pm appointment and then left waiting until after 2:30pm. It would be one thing if we had been told that they were running behind but nothing was said to us, no one giving progress on how much longer it might be or on how much longer we would have to wait. Asking your patients to be early for their appointments and then making them wait more than twice the time you expect from them without any kind of explanation or dialog seems extremely rude and unprofessional. Might make me question if I want to continue with this dentistry. If I can't get basic curtesy, how can I trust the treatment they provide my child?

I usually don’t like going to the dentist, but Marie completely changed that for me. She’s patient, gentle, and very detailed with her work. She explains everything and makes you feel at ease the whole time. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dental office.

I couldn’t be happier seeing Front Receptionist Nichole here today! My heart was happy after the Best Customer Service we received from here over a year ago when I brought my Son for his wisdom teeth removal and every visit was such a pleasant one with Nichole! Super sweet and very knowledgeable of her work. I highly recommend Downey Modern Dentistry for your following dental visit. Their expertise is above all and today was over the top for me. Dr. Pessah was the Best! Very understanding and great with explaining every detail. After reviewing my chart. Her dental assistant Brianna was so sweet and Dental Hygenist Ms. Marie Hernandez was amazing too! She also explained so thoroughly and I was very happy overall. Thank you all so much!
