The store itself is fine. But be prepared if you are from out of town, lost of streetwalkers in the parking area.

I am happy there is a Vons in DHS. All the checkers are super nice. Their meat is top quality and they carry a good variety of Asian and Indian produce. I choose shopping at Vons over Stater Bros any day.

Major issue is many items I have brought home were spoiled multiple times in the last 7 months! Mac salad, loaf of bread, a small cake was so spoiled you could smell the spoiled milk or cream frosting, milk, lettuce, naan, I got the sushi once got sick, also if an item is marked down they often do not count it either by ignoring or just a bad system. Once or twice I understand but nearly everytime I have to correct an added charge.. But it’s clean people are ok, parking is pretty ample. Only 4 self checkout and 1 often don’t work. Distilled water is 3.60 per gallon, not the .99 cents like some places Walmart I think now 1.09

The staff is always pleasant and willing to help. Good sized Starbucks. Produce well stocked and appealing. If you in need of gas it's about 30 to 50 cheaper than the other stations in Bishop. Vons points always help

and had a very uncomfortable experience with a manager named jackie . She closely watched us the entire time like we were going to steal something, which made us feel targeted and disrespected. We had already paid for everything, but we were still accused of stealing. She followed us out of the store, which was embarrassing and unnecessary. When we spoke up about how we were being treated, she tried to justify it by saying her kids are Hispanic and that she “isn’t racist,” and made an odd comment about giving us guacamole, tamales, and chips, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, we felt unfairly targeted and embarrassed even though we did nothing wrong. Not a good experience at all.
