Bought a jar of preserves, it was moldy on top. These images are all I know about it, and we do not want another on. Two stars because the store was pretty unremarkable. Dairy selections out of stock, deli had a sign on the front excusing the absence of the employee.

Great place to pack food for redwoods. They have everything we need for our road trip. People in this shop are super friendly. We stayed in crescent city for three nights and relied on safeway to keep our stomachs happy.:)

When our family is spending a weekend on the coast, having a reliable and well-stocked grocery store is absolutely essential. The Safeway on M Street in Crescent City has become our dependable go-to whenever we need to quickly restock supplies during our trips. While we typically rely on Walmart delivery for our major hauls back home, this location is incredibly convenient for picking up everything we need for a busy day exploring the local beaches. ​The store is consistently clean, and the layout is spacious enough that navigating a cart while keeping track of three energetic kids is relatively stress-free. My wife always appreciates the fresh produce section, and the bakery consistently has great treats that the kids love. The deli is also fantastic for grabbing quick, ready-made sandwiches before we load up our car and head out for an afternoon of hiking or beachcombing. ​What I particularly like is their extensive operating hours. After a long day of activities along the rocky coastline, or if I just need a late-night snack after logging some hours in Roblox with my son, it is incredibly convenient to be able to make a quick run for any forgotten essentials without stressing about closing times. The checkout lines can occasionally get a bit backed up during peak weekend tourist hours, but the staff is always friendly and works hard to keep things moving. Overall, it is a highly dependable and convenient stop. Cheers!

We had a wonderful experience at the Safeway in Crescent City. The lady working the self-checkout was absolutely amazing—friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. She answered every question we had and made a point to acknowledge and speak with every customer who came through. Her positive attitude made the whole store feel welcoming. Customer service like that deserves recognition!

Ppl are Always great. Store is almost Always packed but lines usually go quickly. Do not use the pharmacy though. They can't seem to figure it all out. They messed up every month. To top it off the lines are always at least 45 minutes. I always had to wait at twice. I stayed for a few months hoping the employees would figure out the rush of ppl from rite aid close. They never did. I waited a hour and 10 minutes that was the end of it. Ridiculous....
