I had the most amazing birthday lunch here! The staff was very attentive, and the shrimp and leek pasta was the freshest I've ever had from a restaurant. It was very flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We will be back to try more of their dishes. The photos came out with red tint because we were out on the patio under a red umbrella.

We picked Thario’s to celebrate our 41st anniversary after friends recommended it, and wow — we wish we had discovered this place a lot sooner! From the eclectic, welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding friendliness and service from Mario, we can’t recommend this place highly enough. There’s also a lovely dog-friendly patio, which is a great bonus. And the food is out-stand-ing. We had the Wagyu beef sandwich and the Pasta Arrabbiata, and both were fantastic. The look on my husband’s face when he took his first bite of the sandwich said it all — he just stopped and looked at me and said “Oh my gosh, you have to try this. This is my new favorite restaurant!” It was that good. My Pasta Arrabbiata was equally delicious — full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and just the right amount of heat. What made the experience even more special was the genuinely warm, personal service. For a 41st anniversary lunch, it turned out to be exactly the kind of place we hoped for — relaxed, memorable, and delicious. We’ll definitely be back because we want to try the lasagna and the pizza — and next time, we won’t wait so long!

A sweet couple brought me in to live paint their wedding dinner at Thario's, and man, what a dream night it was. The restaurant is so warm and eclectic, you feel like you're hanging out in your favorite artist friend's boho living room. Thais and Mario are just about the sweetest and most welcoming people you could ever hope to interact with, and they continue that sense of home and family with their hospitality.

First of all what a cute street name this place is located on, Santa Lane. This restaurant had its own personality with the different decor. There is a table of Lego’s, games, and books and I thought perfect for a family to keep kids entertained with non technology fun or a great place to come eat and have fun with your adult friends too. The inside is cozy and the outside is cool to enjoy the ocean air. Our food was delicious. I must come back to try the other pizzas as they all sounded so good. My only negative would be I would love ice with my water. The sodas are served as a can so a little pricey for no refill option.

Thario’s Kitchen has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat in Carpinteria! Everything is made from scratch, and you can truly taste the difference. The Promenade sandwich is one of my favorites, with fresh, seasonal vegetables and bread that is absolutely out of this world. We also love their pizzas and have worked our way through almost all of the salads and pastas—everything has been amazing. The daily specials are always worth checking out, too! The service is wonderful, and we especially love the comfortable, warm, homey atmosphere. It feels like the kind of place you want to keep coming back to—and we definitely do!
