We stopped by here as we were passing through town. We ordered the oysters, only finding out later that they were from baja CA, baked clams, fish piccata and spaghetti with meatballs. Not sure which of the four dishes was the culprit, but two of us had food poisoning shortly after we left the restaurant. This is a very mediocre seafood restaurant; the clams and fish dishes tasted flavorless and bland.

Splendid little restaurant along the main "downtown" strip of Carpenteria. Appetizers (shrimp, clams) were outstanding. Halibut piccata (their most popular entree) was raved about by my two companions that ordered it. Crab Louis salad not recommended. Personable and professional service and even a celebrity sighting (Larry David). Great way to kick off our coastal vacation. Highly recommended.

My husband really enjoyed the oysters. My daughter enjoyed the chicken parm. Lovely sauce and cheese👌 we shared a fish type burger and our server recommended the garlic potatoes ❤️ very delicious! Cozy space I would come back if in the area.

Update: The manager reached out to us, listened to our concerns, and took steps to make things right. I’m raising my rating to three stars to reflect the positive change and their willingness to stand behind their service. ******************* We placed a take out order for pizza and a salad last night. When we picked up the food, we were mistakenly charged for someone else's order (twice the amount of ours). Beware, take out orders at Dom's include a mandatory gratuity. The pizza had arugula on top (as ordered). Upon closer inspection, about half the arugula had many holes from insects/worms. See photo. The salad we ordered ("Green Salad" - $15) was literally just a box of spring mix. There was NOTHING added to the lettuce to make it a salad. Nothing. We went back to the restaurant to rectify the overcharge. Restaurant staff had already reversed the charge and applied the correct one but they did not offer any sort of compensation (remove mandatory tip?) since we had to drive to the restaurant twice. Disappointing all around.

Solo traveler here and this is exactly what I was hoping for. I had mapped a few other places, and when I went by, they were just not what I was hoping for. The ambience is that of a true old Italian restaurant with cozy booths, lots of wood, low lights, and outdoor seating. The service was outstanding, kind, and my server was really knowledgeable and sweet. I ended up ordering Mustered green zitoni with mushroom bolognese which was absolutely incredible. And to top the whole thing off I didn’t know that they made their own pasta, which was such a wonderful treat. I had a lovely glass of wine, which they happily let me taste before hand in the whole experience felt so special. I would easily drive here again just to experience this restaurant. Quick notes: HOMEMADE PASTA Vegan options Outdoor dining Cozy ambiance I was so present to the experience that I don’t even have a photo to share!
