What a nice dining experience. Dennis made the entire night super awesome. He had such a great sense of humor. If I worked with Dennis we would hang out and be friends. He also helped navigate the food menu very well. I basically did what he said to do with the food stuff. The cocktails were well crafted. The food was delightful.

Dining at Betsy Lawer’s new Eight North Restaurant in Calistoga, CA, was on my “bucket list” since she first announced her project. August 20, 2026, we dined! Was it worth it you ask? YES….Started with a delightful Lawer Unoaked Chardonnay accompanying a beautifully plated and tantalizing tasting Fruit and Cheese board to be shared. Pat had a mouth watering tastebud titillating Shrimp and Grits while I was “knocked on my Keister” with a masterly prepared, unbelievably tasty eggplant! We topped dinner off with a delightful Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Gelato (Pat) and a zesty Meyer Lemon Cheesecake with Fresh Strawberry Sauce! Bringing home a bottle of Chardonnay and a Pinot to share.

Exceptional brunch, and exceptional service and a really nice ambience. Probably the best cinnamon roll and avocado toast we’ve ever had.

Man, this place hits hard—great from the moment you talk to the hostess to the servers. Great polish, very convenient, nice open spaces. Definitely a place to sit down, exist, and be fat and happy. Curious how I stuffed my puss: started out with a burger protein-style, onions, tomatoes, and cheese sauce on the side. After that, had a really good chocolate crème brûlée. Everything was tip-top—the burger was juicy, really filled me up, and got me right. Perfectly seasoned fries with salt, great mineralization. Our server was Annie, and she was a ton of fun—great service, very well-versed in her field of food, with a great personality. She had a one-of-a-kind touch, which is hard to find at a restaurant. All I can say is, next time I’m around town, I’ll be back for more… Truly a heartfelt meal. All I can say is: get here if you can—you’ll be fat and happy just like me 😃☕️

This was the most delicious omelet I’ve ever had — and I’m very picky about food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Now I definitely want to come back and try the main menu, and after this breakfast my expectations are very high!
