The food and service was great! We had the Duck Curry & Pumpkin Curry, both with a flavorful velvety sauce. The Pad Thai and Kalbi Ribs w/ Garlic Noodles was prepared nicely. Eggplant Basil was surprisingly tasty. Only the BBQ Chicken was a bit dry and underwhelming in flavor. Finished with Mango Sticky Rice. The family had a wonderful time.

We visited this restaurant for our team lunch. First, I need to start with the extraordinary service - no hiccups at all. The staff was always attentive, cleaned up on time, and the service was quick as well. Unfortunately, there were no cocktails available when we were there, as there was no bartender; only beer was available. We started with appetizers. The Coconut Shrimp was very bland - just plain shrimp in coconut batter - so I wouldn’t recommend it. The appetizer platter was okay; it included some roti with curry sauce, Siam satay, and vegetable egg rolls. However, it wasn’t worth the price, as we expected more variety for the cost. That said, the Vegetable Egg Rolls and Siam Satay, when ordered individually, were good. We had high expectations for the Drunkard Noodles. At first glance, it didn’t have the usual color, but the taste was good and palatable. We also ordered the Phoenix Fried Rice and Pineapple Fried Rice. The Phoenix Fried Rice was just regular fried rice, but the Pineapple Fried Rice was a winner, we ended up ordering it again. The Legendary Pad Thai was good too, and it stood out compared to competitors because it was spicier, it’s usually sweeter elsewhere. The Panang Curry was good. The Spicy Seafood Combo was indeed spicy, and the seafood was nice, though it had a lot of vegetables. We ended the meal with Chocolate Mousse, which was also good. Overall, it was hit or miss with a few dishes, but many of them were quite good. Parking can be difficult at times, but the Highland Parking Garage in the adjacent building is a lifesaver - $3 flat rate if you can’t find street parking.

Coconut Bay Thai restaurant and bar @ 1107 Howard Ave, Burlingame, CA 94010 We had dinner here and had a pleasant experience overall. Parking is available outside the restaurant, but it was full when we arrived, so we parked near Safeway, which is just a short walk away. The restaurant is clean, and I really liked the mini display in front of the waiting area—it was very creative and added a nice touch to the ambiance. We were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered the Coconut Bay Soup, Lady Finger Roll, Legendary Pad Thai, and Thai Garlic Branzino Seabass. The appetizers were excellent. The Coconut Bay Soup was served hot and was very flavorful, and the Lady Finger Roll was also delicious. For the main courses, the Legendary Pad Thai was good, although it was a little dry for my taste. The Thai Garlic Branzino Seabass was decent, but I found it slightly too salty. Overall, this is a good Thai restaurant with fast and accurate service. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I would definitely consider coming back to try other dishes.

We went to Coconut Bay to experience its Happy Hour and to have dinner. Wow! The appetizers were cooked and presented to perfection. The cocktails were refreshing and we were all pleased with our dinner dishes: curry with chicken, street noodles with prawns and garlic basil beef. We'd definitely eat here again!

Coconut Bay Thai Restaurant in Burlingame was a great experience overall. The staff was friendly, polite, and professional, which set a nice tone right from the start. We began with the appetizer sampler, and it was a fun and satisfying way to kick things off, with a mix of chicken skewers, crab, paratha bread, and spring rolls that worked really well together. For the main course, we ordered the green curry and the panang curry, and both were delicious, rich, and comforting without being overpowering. The restaurant itself is very spacious and centrally located in downtown Burlingame, making it a comfortable spot for a relaxed meal. Definitely a place I would return to.
