The instructors at Tosha have completely changed how I relate to yoga, and life, for the better since I have started practicing here. In particular, I appreciate the way that Suzanne and B incorporate their extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology and combine that with accessible infusions of wisdom from the traditional teachings of yoga to cultivate classes that are challenging, nurturing, joyful, and all-around fulfilling. The space itself is lovingly created and cared for and feels lived-in and real without being messy or overstimulating. I have always felt welcomed here and am treated like a friend. I leave every class a better version of myself. it is definitely worth a visit!

Suzanne and other instructors are advanced in their knowledge of yoga. They are also caring and provide a atmosphere that is welcoming.

In Tosha, Suzanne Dunning has built something remarkable. Originally a dairy creamery, the physical studio has a vaulted ceiling, thick prominent beams, amazing natural light, and panoramic views of Arcata. When you ascend the outer stairs and step onto the mat it feels like you are practicing in a cathedral of light. The instructors at Tosha are consistently excellent: knowledgeable, warm, authentic, and sensitive. Each brings a unique perspective and methodology to their instruction and I especially appreciate the efforts that they make to frame their own understanding of the practice. The community that has formed around the studio is reflective of the studio itself. People come to yoga for many reasons, and everyone I have met here has been friendly, supportive, and respectful. Whether you have been involved with yoga for many years or just starting out, I think that you will find something valuable here.

All of the teachers at Tosha hold some sort of magic wisdom in their own unique way. Beautiful space and tender space holders! Highly recommend!

This is hands-down, the best yoga studio in the area. I frequent the Sunday class at 10:30 with Suszanne, which I highly recommend. It is definitely my church because the class is really mind body spirit. Suszanne is one of the most thoughtful, intentional yoga teachers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This woman drops wisdom bombs. I always leave the class remembering the deeply profound things she says. I appreciate the vastness and anesthetic of the space. I also think it's very charming she always has hot tea waiting prior to class. A true staple in the community!
