Volunteers Invited to Finish Auburn Boulevard Sound Wall Mural

Citrus Heights Arts is inviting local residents to help put the finishing touches on an expansive community mural along Auburn Boulevard. The volunteer painting sessions are scheduled for Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, along the sound wall between San Tomas Drive and Cobalt Way.

The mural features colorful floral artwork intended to brighten the streetscape along the busy corridor. Work on the wall originally started earlier this year, and organizers are now calling on neighbors to contribute their own brushstrokes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on both days. Supplies, drinking water, and snacks will be provided on site.

Once community painters wrap up their work and the paint fully dries, organizers plan to coat the wall with an anti-graffiti sealant to protect the public art for years to come.
