Tri-City League of Women Voters Launches Fall Election Forums in Niles
A series of civic forums in Fremont will examine the county election commission and ballot measures.
The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City is kicking off a series of educational meetings to assist Tri-City voters ahead of the November election. The first gathering takes place Saturday, September 12, at Niles Discovery Church on Niles Boulevard in Fremont.
The opening session focuses on the Alameda County Elections Commission, featuring Irene Dieter, president of the commission, and Dr. David Renfro representing Veterans For All Voters. The presentation will explain how county volunteers review election processes, resolve public complaints, and foster broader civic participation.
The series continues on October 17 with an in-depth breakdown of statewide propositions and local ballot measures. Organizers also plan to host open candidate forums later in October to let voters hear directly from local political candidates.
