The Glass Menagerie Production Opens at Hayward's Douglas Morrisson Theatre

Theater company SPARC is partnering with Hayward's Douglas Morrisson Theatre to present a live staging of Tennessee Williams' classic drama, 'The Glass Menagerie.' The production opens on Friday, September 18, and continues through the weekend at the theater located at 22311 North 3rd Street.

The celebrated drama centers on narrator Tom Wingfield as he reflects on his working-class family in 1930s St. Louis, capturing the tensions between his own artistic aspirations, his mother Amanda's nostalgic expectations, and his sister Laura's delicate isolation.

Audiences are invited to arrive early for each performance to take part in a pre-show conversation hosted by the creative team 30 minutes before curtain, which explores the history and staging choices behind the piece. Ticket options include discounted rates for seniors, students, and veterans.
