San Juan High School Opens Football Season in Renovated Stadium

San Juan High School celebrated the kickoff of its fall football season on Friday night by welcoming the community into its newly modernized McArthur Field [2.3.1]. The Spartans took on Dixon in a festive "Red Out" match, marking their transition back to a full 11-player varsity roster after previously playing eight-man football.

The stadium project wrapped up earlier this year following extensive renovations supported by local bond funding. Upgrades feature an all-weather synthetic track and turf field, modernized concessions and ticket booths, brand new restrooms, and upgraded accessibility ramps for visitors.

School administrators and coaching staff noted that the updated facilities provide a major boost to student athletes and the wider Citrus Heights school community.
