Registration Opens for 43rd Annual San Ramon Valley Run for Education

Registration is now open for the 43rd annual San Ramon Valley Education Foundation Run for Education, scheduled for Sunday, October 11. The tradition typically brings together around 5,000 local runners and walkers to generate funding for enrichment projects across local public schools.

This year's event includes an expanded lineup of distances, featuring 10K and 5K courses, a 1.5-mile family walk, a Mini Run for children ages 2 to 6, and a Friendship Run for athletes with special needs. For the first time, organizers have introduced a costume contest for groups of four or more participants, with prizes awarded for school spirit and community creativity.

Participants will finish their courses at Iron Horse Middle School, where a post-race expo will host more than 50 community vendors, family activities, and an awards ceremony. Proceeds from the event support teacher grants, classroom technology, science equipment, and arts education throughout the district. Registration rates increase after October 5.
