Police Detain Armed Subject on Auburn Boulevard Following Disruption
Citrus Heights police safely took an armed individual into custody Thursday afternoon following a disturbance along Auburn Boulevard.
Westbound traffic on Auburn Boulevard near Greenback Lane was temporarily halted on Thursday afternoon after police responded to a reported disturbance at a nearby shopping plaza. Officers followed an individual walking along the roadway who was carrying a sharp weapon.
Citrus Heights police cruisers shadowed the individual and issued verbal warnings before safely detaining him without any reported injuries. The roadway was reopened to normal traffic shortly after the suspect was placed in custody.
