Pleasanton Unified Rises to Fifth in Regional School Rankings
Pleasanton Unified climbed four positions in regional rankings while earning county honors for its teaching staff.

Pleasanton Unified School District moved up four places to rank as the fifth best school district across the greater Bay Area, according to the 2027 rankings published by Niche. Statewide, the district was rated 17th among California public school systems.
While Piedmont City Unified claimed the top countywide spot overall, Pleasanton secured first place in Alameda County for both the best teachers and the best district in which to teach. Pleasanton schools received an overall A+ rating, led by top scores in academics, instruction quality, and college preparation.
Individually, Amador Valley High School ranked second among public high schools in Alameda County and 16th in the Bay Area. Foothill High School was ranked sixth within the county and 24th across the region.
