Oakland Seeks Applicants for Open Seats on Cultural Affairs Commission
The City of Oakland is accepting applications to fill four vacant seats on its volunteer Cultural Affairs Commission.

The Oakland Cultural Affairs Commission is looking for local residents to fill four vacancies on its volunteer advisory panel. The 11-member body advises the city on cultural priorities and monitors the implementation of Oakland's Cultural Development Plan, which aims to ensure every neighborhood has equitable access to artistic resources.
City officials are inviting applications from local artists, organizers, and residents from underrepresented neighborhoods. Appointed commissioners will participate in regular public discussions, advise municipal leaders on funding, and serve as liaisons at arts events across the city.
