Newark Days Festival Returns with Educational Theme and Community Events
The annual neighboring city festival celebrates Newark's birthday with carnival rides, a parade, and community booths.
The neighboring community of Newark is marking its annual founding milestone with the return of Newark Days from September 17 through September 20. The four-day festival draws families and visitors from across Newark and Fremont to celebrate local history and community connections.
This year's event follows the theme Adventure is Just a Page Away, emphasizing local literacy programs and public education. The celebration surrounding the Newark Community Center features carnival attractions, food stalls offering regional snacks, live musical performances, and exhibits by local nonprofit groups.
The centerpiece of the festival weekend is the Saturday morning parade, where civic groups, student marching bands, and youth sports organizations from across the Tri-City area take part in the long-running neighborhood tradition.
