Mountain View High Principal Rebuffs Paper Censorship Lawsuit
Principal Kip Glazer has filed a court declaration defending her actions regarding an article in the student newspaper.

Mountain View High School Principal Kip Glazer is asking a Santa Clara County judge to throw out a free-expression lawsuit filed by former student journalists and a former faculty advisor. In a detailed court filing, Glazer asserted that she acted responsibly when intervening in a 2023 article about campus sexual harassment allegations published by the school paper, The Oracle.
The lawsuit alleges that school administrators violated student free speech protections and retaliated against the journalism advisor after pressing students to alter the investigative report. Glazer stated that her intervention was driven by urgent welfare concerns from parents of an accused student and maintained that her aim was to mentor the reporting team rather than silence them.
