Missing 79-Year-Old Woman Located Safely After Disappearing at Great Mall

An urgent search in Milpitas reached a safe resolution after police officers located 79-year-old Lisa Ann Wayne, who went missing Thursday afternoon during a family trip to the Great Mall. Authorities had asked for community vigilance after she walked away on foot without a cell phone or transit pass.

Police considered Wayne at risk due to her age, medical conditions, and memory loss from dementia. Officers quickly distributed her description and concentrated patrols along surrounding commercial corridors and nearby transit centers.

The Milpitas Police Department announced later that evening that Wayne was safely discovered and reunited with her family in good health. Department officials thanked local residents and mall visitors who helped share alerts and keep watch during the search.
