Milpitas Resident Faces Charges in Fatal Hit-and-Run and Stabbing
A Milpitas resident faces two murder charges in connection with a fatal pedestrian collision on Dixon Landing Road and a stabbing in San Jose.

Prosecutors have filed murder charges against 32-year-old Milpitas resident Anila Baby following two fatal incidents that took place late last month. Authorities accuse Baby of striking and killing an acquaintance with an SUV at the Mill Creek Apartments on Dixon Landing Road, as well as a fatal stabbing in neighboring San Jose.
Milpitas police officers initially responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the apartment complex. The victim, identified as Anjana Hari, died at the scene. Investigators located the suspect vehicle parked nearby outside a local pharmacy with significant front-end damage and arrested the driver.
Detectives later connected the suspect to a second death on Linda Vista Street in San Jose, where a woman was discovered fatally stabbed hours later. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspect knew both victims.
