Meek Park Hosts Free Agricultural Day with Hands-On Farming Activities

Meek Park in Hayward will welcome neighbors and visitors for Agricultural Day on Saturday, September 19, showcasing the East Bay's farming history alongside hands-on agricultural exhibits. The free outdoor event opens to the public at 10 a.m. on the grounds of 240 Hampton Road.

Designed for curious learners of all ages, the gathering gives children an opportunity to encounter farm animals, view demonstrations detailing plant development, and follow interactive lessons tracing food from local farms straight to kitchen tables.

The estate grounds, preserved for their historical links to early regional orchards and agriculture, offer open lawn space where local gardening advocates and community partners will host informational booths throughout the morning.
